“Full of hospitality and nice location”

We stayed our last 2 nights in NZ at Nautical Nock B&B. Keith and Trish were kind enough to teach us how to spend in Auckland . It seemed they really love Marine life. Color of our room was unified into blue and there were many decorations related to the sea on a breakfast table.(Fish decoration, menu, and even dishes). When breakfast was served , artificial decorations like penguin, kiwi ,captain named after menu choice were put aside on a dish. It was fun.
By a lucky chance we could experience sailing.(although they haven't go out sailing in those 2 weeks because of strong wind .) Weather condition was not so good, but our fist sailing was wonderful. At second night we enjoyed chatting with keith and Trish and keith friend's couple.it was also lovely experience. Thanks to Keith and Trish, We really could relax and enjoy.

Just spent a couple of nights at Nautical Nook with my wife and kids over the Xmas period. Trish and Keith welcomed us as only Kiwis know how to do: simply and nicely, with their unique kindness.
Nautical Nook is comfortable and ideally located to discover Auckland and is surroundings (Mission Bay, among other things).
Trish's breakfasts are among the best we had in NZ. We also spent a fantastic morning in the bay of Auckalnd on Keith friend's boat (special thank to Mark).
Don't miss this address if you happen to spend a few days in Auckland.

“A pleasant encounter with NZ”

Our trip starting Mid-October in Auckland was our first time in NZ. Trish and Keith gave us a warmest welcome and intro to the way of Kiwi living. Bedrooms and house were in very nice conditions, each room had a separate spacious bathroom to relax. We had been really enjoying their hospitality, got to admire the NZ beer offered, we had been listening and looking to nice little birds at breakfast. We also enjoyed Trish's stories about her ancestors moving into NZ and the way they started living in Auckland many decades ago. Keith's memorized timetable of small and big sailing ships was also most impressive, looking from their balcony to the Auckland harbor exit street. What a nice view it was!

“The Janes KNOW New Zealand”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

We started and finished our wonderful month in New Zealand with Keith and Trish. Because they were the 1st accommodation we booked, they answered many questions for us and their knowledge & recommendations were spot on. Trish's breakfasts were the best in a month of great food and accommodations!!! The location was perfect near great restaurants and public transportation.

“Kiwi Hospitality at Nautical Nook”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

It is all those little things these hosts do that make Nautical Nook a great place to stay! We live in the Bay of Islands and frequently go to Auckland on business. We have stayed with Trish and Keith many times but recently when they also had guests from Ireland (here for the World Cup) and Canada. This was Kiwi hospitality at its best. 10 of us in the house and it all ran like clockwork in a relaxed, casual way. The breakfast menus (yes, there are so many choices you need a menu! No wonder the reviews rave about the breakfasts) had a rugby theme, which was fun. They know a lot of Auckland and NZ history and spend time helping guests make the most of their time while in their city. They have travelled extensively overseas, so have lots of interesting tales to tell. Trish even tucks a couple of freshly baked muffins in your hand as you head off for the day. The reviews say it all -
the location: off the main road, set amongst lovely homes, overlooking a reserve and with great water views. Close to buses, but a short drive or a beautiful walk along the waterfront to the city and many attractions.
the rooms: are spacious and the beds are super comfy
