Good pricing however as many of the rooms are ex student apartments being converted over to hotel rooms. Our room (614) didn't meet expectations.

Ours had no air conditioning, and light bulbs not working , outside on the patio was dirty. Staff were really helpful in getting fly pan to cook with as they where missing the dishes where Dirty and some had mold on them. the bathroom floor is dirty. only one face cloth and no hand towel.

Stayed on a Friday night after work; lovely quiet room on the top floor and the evening and morning view out to the north-east over the harbour was very easy to take. Not a huge room but very functional with updated ensuite and kitchenette. Well located downtown close to the sights, though possibly other hotels are closer to restaurants. The slightly too hip, late-night bar decor made for an odd breakfast dining experience but the coffee was plentiful and food okay. A well priced hotel. Free wifi but they charge for incoming phone calls which was surprising. Would probably stay there again, a very comfortable hotel.

I have just completed a ten day stay here from Boston, MA. The 18th floor apartment had a great view towards the sea. It was well-equipped, even with its own washing machine, and everything worked well, including all the hotel services. The breakfast was very good, and although expensive by US standards, a normal price by local standards. The location next to the University of Auckland is just great - next to a great park, and a very short, if steep, walk to all the shops and restaurants in the center of the city.

We initially booked a week in a one-bedroom apartment, looking for a longer stay afterwards elsewhere. Within a couple of days a good price came up on Hotelclub so we decided to extend it. The property was not able to offer good rates directly. It seemed very much a people factory with hustle and bustle in reception, the corridors and the lifts, with background music playing constantly.

However, once in the sanctuary of the apartment everything was very comfortable. We had a lovely harbour view from the 15th floor and although no balcony furniture, were able to stand out in the sun and fresh air and watch the cruise ships leave most late afternoons. We were able to cook all our meals, wash the crocks in the dishwasher and do all our laundry with the washer/dryer and iron/ironing board. We were provided with white fluffy towels and daily amenities. Bathroom not huge but a good shower, all kept spotlessly clean. Free wifi and a safe provided

Unlike a lot of apartments in Auckland, this was blissfully quiet at night. The bed very comfortable, in a small petitioned off bedroom. The location is very pleasant opposite Government House Gardens, and a short walk to Albert Park, Queen Street and the Harbour.
