To be honest I had searched this hotel prior to staying so I new it was old and dated and it was cheap. We had a party to go to near by so thought why not.
To give it credit the staff seemed friendly but I just can't understand how people let things get sooo dated. The decor including the brown toilet was from the mid 70's era, the sponged pale yellow paint on the wall the most modern around the 80's era. The pillows were flat like pancakes also probably from the 80's. The studio rooms are tiny.
However, it was a place to rest your head. You get what you pay for I guess... but the KY lube wrappers under the bed made me nauseas. Especially when they aren't your own! Ewwwww.
A place to crash and thats about it really.

The hosts are exceptional and what makes this hotel worth staying at. While it is not in the downtown core, it is easy to get to everywhere. The units need updating but they are spacious and had everything that we needed. Our kids loved the trampoline.

We stayed for 9 days and It was so comfortable. The rooms are clean and it is in a great location. Close to the Airport and the City. No problems with parking the car. The hosts are what makes the hotel 5 star. Very helpful and friendly. I certainly would stay at the hotel again when I return to NZ.

If you want a good night's sleep in this motel, then go somewhere else. It's noisy and the beds are so uncomfortable, my husband ended up sleeping on the floor.
Although our room was tidy, what concerned us most was was the hidden dirt left by careless cleaners/lazy motel staff. To top it off, our water went cold in the morning.
We expected alot more for our money.
The owners didn't seem to care when we expressed our disappointment. I think all they care about is taking your money.
Not recommended and a disappointment for our first day in Auckland.
