I booked a night at The Langham for my partner and I, I decided on a package deal that included dinner and breakfast at Eight, champagne on arrival, valet parking and a late check out.
The food at Eight is amazing, despite being a buffet it doesn't in anyway subsitute on quality. We had a very enjoyable two hours sampling everything that was on offer and I can honestly say it's impossible to pick a favourite station. The attention to detail is incredible, from the soy sauce bubbling fountain to the tiny flowers on your salad.
Our room was perfect, a bottle of champagne was waiting for us along with fresh fruit. Every tiny detail has been thought of, the bathroom is fully stoked from the usual bath gel right through to shaving kits and combs. When we returned from dinner, our bed had been turned down with slippers neatly placed beside the bed.
The staff at the Langham provide the highest standard of service, they remember your name, assist with everything and are quick and efficent. During our two meals at Eight they promptly cleared away plates and reset cutlery so quietly and swiftly that you barely even notice them.
Overall I love The Langham and will be returning as much as possible. We live in Auckland so it's great for us if we want a little mini break.
