We stayed here as part of a group of 22 people. Check in was handled efficiently. Lobby is large and well furnished with numerous sofas to relax and read or to wait for friends. Our room was on the 9th floor and first impression was quite positive. The room was light and and sunny with a fantastic view of the waterfront and Aukland Bay Bridge. Further use of the room, however, revealed shortcomings. There was only one electrical outlet readily accessible. An exhaustive search found a second in the back corner of the closet but, even so, made it difficult to charge two iPhones and a toothbrush. The bathroom was spare with the cheapest possible fixtures - flimsy plastic toilet seat and towel bars. There was adequate space for one suitcase - the other one had to be satisfied with the floor. The bed was soft and the mattress cheap - get luck getting in & out of bed without disturbing your partner. Pillows were adequate and comfortable. No wireless coverage in the room and very expensive coverage in the lobby - after 20 free minutes or 20MG of use. We discovered this is in line with other NZ hotels.
