Hotel is undergoing a much needed renovation. Decor is very 70s & the carpet is stained, even in the foyer. No photocopier or printer available for conference participants, which is shocking. We kept having problems with our wifi aswell. My room was below average, very old with chipped paint. But spacious & relatively clean.

Service was very average with the exception of the food & beverage staff, who were fantastic. The food was great! Buffet breakfast was delicious, but pricey at $31. Every morning/arvo tea, buffet lunch & dinner the hotel provided for the conference was superb - the main highlight of my stay. Location was superb, 2min walk to aotea square.

After the noisy experience in the Marque in Sydney we saw that this hotel belongs to the same chain.

Easy parking for only NZD 15, check in was efficient and quick. The room was a nice space with flat screen and couch. Bed very comfortable. Bath room spacious. Not a single sound from adjecent rooms or noise from the hall ways.

Room service breakfast was good and on time plus 3 hrs of Internet for free (signal did not pick up in the room though)

We enjoyed our stay very much and can only recommend this hotel. Great value and perfect location.

Attempted to check in but reception staff preferred to schmooze with the gaggle of air hostesses who were hanging around with the captain/ pilot guy.You would have thought they were royalty the way the staff were behaving so I guess they must have some sort of contract with the airlines. We clearly were not lipsticked up enough because we were dealt with extremely rudely by a smirking chap who obviously thought we were underwhelming compared to his glamorous airbourne waitresses. We booked two connecting rooms that weren't connected and one of the doors continually spat out its key and refused entry. The toilet seat fell off, the tv didn't work and you couldn't see out of the windows for grime. The pool was utterly filthy, I did one length and jumped out rapidly as it felt like swimming in gravy - yuck, yuck, yuck. After overcoming my nausea breakfast loomed and surprise, surprise it was GREAT! There was one chubby waiter guy who did the rounds of the coffee with great agility despite his bulk - my cup was never empty! Give the guy a raise!! Its cheap if you can get an online deal but don't pay full price and for pity's sake avoid the soup masquerading as a pool.

I have stayed here again for 2 seperate one nighters and overall was happy with my stay considering i only paid around $100 NZ for each stay.

I stayed on the top floors and the rooms were comfy and recently renovated. I have no complaints at all.

Staff were once again very pleasant and my room service meal ( club sandwich and fries) was hot and tasty and not overpriced!

Considering i was only there for a few hours each time to sleep, I have no complaints.

I think that this hotel is hard to beat if you can get a good deal.
