We recently returned from a weeks stay at Medina on Barrack. Rooms were perfectly sized, cleaned brilliantly every day with no complaints. They even stacked the dishwasher for us and emptied it! Staff were approachable and friendly. Location was perfect for us, shops on the doorstep and a stone throw from Northbridge. The most useful thing was that it was a few minutes walk from the train station. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Perth for a night or extended long stay. My only complaint and that would be an overly strong word is that there was no DVD player in the room and with movie rentals being $15.95 it seemed a bit steep considering all the other amenities were top notch. Also, and this happens in a lot of hotels, the double bed was two singles put together, so if you like a spoon like i do it makes it a little uncomfortable... overall 9/10. Would definately stay here again if i go to Perth.

Poition --under 5 minutes to railway station , Murray St mall including Woolworths ,DJs and Myers. 7 minutes to Art Gallery, State Library and Museum and Wellington Bus Station Cat and local buses at the door
Space -we had a 1 bedroom apartment (4) which has a good sized sitting/dining room and kitchen fully equipped for 4 , The bedroom has a king bed and lots of storage and the bathroom has a large shower (no tub) there is a small balcony and although noisy in the day it can be romantic at night ==despite heavy traffic there is no internal noise
We found the staff friendly and efficient and arriving early were given immediate check in

Great location near Hay Street Mall and Murray Street. Don't think any other hotel/serviced apartment could be nearer than this. Service was okay although I was peeved that we couldn't get our check-out extension to 1pm since we had kids with us. I find a lack of flexibility with the hotel staff. We booked 2 rooms (1 single and the other a 2 room apt) since ours was 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 3 kids (ages; 8,9,10) We couldn't fathom why there was only 1 air conditioning in the hall of the 2 room apt? There was none in the rooms, especially the inner room which could get all stuffy. My friends had to leave their door open for ventilation. Also, if you're driving or renting a car, make sure you inform the hotel to reserve a parking bay for you...otherwise you'll need to park elsewhere...which I thought was ultimately more convenient looking at the tiny entrance to the hotel's parking garage.

We stayed for three nights in November this year, myself, my husband, and our 18-month-old. Check in was easy, location is fab, right in the heart of the city so very close to shopping/restaurants etc. Easy walk through town and a park to the ferry and on to South Perth, fab! Apartment itself was fine, good aircon, comfy beds, good-sized bedroom. Bathroom was a little musty even with a small window. Kitchen was well set-up, great for self-catering.

Housecleaning was daily including towels if you want. The thing that most stood out on our trip was the staff. The carried our bags, called the lift for me when I forgot my keycard. When I came in at 10pm with my baby sleeping in my arms lugging the pram and baby-bag, they rushed out to help, calling the lift and taking my pram and bag and delivering them at my door a few minutes later. Just what I needed! They were always happy and smiling and very polite. Thanks!
