“Ok for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

It was very conveniently placed. A bus stop is just outside which takes you cheaply to the airport. The rooms are just OK but tired. There was no wifi. Check in and out were fine but we didn't use the bar or breakfast facilities as they didn't really attract us. The staff were helpful and it is a reasonable value hotel in a good location.

“Quiet Rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Check in was hassle free and was able to place a wake up call and book a taxi to the airport with no hassle.

The room was well appointed and clean, with a large flat screen television with a refigrartor and tea/coffee making facilities. The air conditioning worked well and plenty of luggage storage within the room.

However, my room was facing St Georges Terrace and I found it a little difficult to get to sleep. The bath also had lots of rust round the plug hole, which wasn't particularly attractive, but thankfully the room also had a separate shower.

I didn't get the opportunity to sample the hotel restaurant due to having to catch an early morning flight.

Overall: a basic hotel with a very small gym and sauna, road traffic may be an issue if your room faces the road, and there was no hotel wifi, but there was wired broadband available. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk into the main central business district. I would say the hotel is okay if staying for a few nights.

“Good value, helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We arrived late in the evening and checked out early (5am) but the reception was always well staffed. The room was spacious and clean, although the bathroom looks dated. The breakfast was ok, included in some of the nights we stayed, not others. I wouldn't pay for it personally. Location is ok, we certainly had no problems with noise from the road or other guests. Would I stay here again? Yeah, why not.

“As suggested but..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

As other reviewers indicate this hotel is certainly in need of an up-grade, however the prices do reflect this status. The plus side is the staff who do a great job to make you welcome and as comfortable as possible. Breakfasts are self-service so take as little or as much as you want. A wide range of foods are on offer for all tastes. You would probably do better to eat a main meal at a down-town location.

Room Tip: Higher than lower!

“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here in November 2011. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. We were allowed to check in early and the twin room was a surprise- with a really clean bathroom. Breakfast was simple but delicious, again served by super friendly staff who multi task ever so efficiently. The strategic location so near Swan River makes this an ideal place to stay- especially if you are interested in long quiet walks in the morning!!!

Room Tip: The twin room is ideal for a family of four
