“Centrally Located & Adequate”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Spent a couple of nights staying at the Somerset St. Georges Terrace while on business in Perth.
The hotel is located in central CBD which makes it great for business requirements.
At night it was hard to find somewhere in the area to eat apart from the larger hotels in the area.
The room itself was only just adequate with stains on the carpet.
The standard items available in other hotels were non exisitent.
It appeared that they only stocked it with as little as possible, from towels to tea......
Probably will give it a miss in the future.

“Average (middle of the road business hotel)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

stayed at the Somerset a couple of times in 2011 on business. Good location for early appointments in CBD. Parking is a problem - only a few bays available and very very tight; only other option is parking at Convention Centre ($35 - $40) for overnight. Rooms are hit and miss; 1st stay I had a spacious room with plasma tv and bath - 2nd stay i had a small room with old CRT tv and tiny bathroom. Rooms were clean on both occasions. Some rooms can be very noisy with cars and trucks coming and going all night. Breakfast and room service food was expensive and average. Not many food options in CBD weekday evenings. No free wifi - very very expensive for what really should be provided by hotel. All in all an average hotel for what you pay - better options available in my view.

“Small but good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

This was the only accommodation we could get at short notice...and it was very nice!
Very Small hotel tucked away along a busy street.

Im not a big fan of staying right in the city after this stay i would certainly do it again.

Only problem is they have limited parking so you may ahve to park at the convention center and walk 200m back to the hotel.

“Comfortable and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

Rooms spacious and clean. Bed comfortable with several pillow options. Thick curtains keep the sunlight out, and almost no external noise makes sleep-ins easy. The over-bath shower in my room needed non-slip footing or a handrail - it was quite slippery getting in and out.

Location is good - shops, the Swan River and restaurants are all within a 10 minute walk.

Staff were simply outstanding during my stay - always respectful, courteous and willing to help. They made me feel at home.

Facilities are a little lacking, with no gym or pool.

Reception area is compact but adequate, with some chairs for relaxing. The adjoining open-front dining/bar is a nice feature and makes an attractive choice for watching the World go by.
