First time stayed here, booked standard room for one night. We didn't pay extra for river views but was pleased that we did get some sort of view of the river which was nice.
Check in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful.
The room itself was very spacious, even with 2 double beds, and looked as though had been refurbished slightly. There were extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe if needed. There was a flat screen TV, the usual tea and coffee making facilities, an in room safe and robes and slippers!
The bathroom was very large, although the tiling was a bit dated. There was a separate shower and large separate bath. The toiletires supplied were of a very nice quaility (not the usual cheap ones you get). There was a proper hairdryer to use and plenty of towels.
The breakfast was lovely, with views to the Swan River and lots of choices with good quality food and plenty of it. They even had a pancake making machine that made fresh pancakes.
Overall it was very good value for money at $190.00 for the night which I booked direct online and included the room, breakfast, newspaper and valet parking.
The hotel is opposite the Swan River with nice cycle and walking paths. We walked to the main shopping area (Hay St Mall), which was a bit of a hike, around 20 minute stroll/walk.
Couldn't fault it really.
