“Best value in Cable Beach, Broome, W.A.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

I stayed for 7 nights at Beaches of Broome in a double private room with an ensuite. This may be a 'Backpackers' but I have no regrets in not booking a Hotel in Broome. I sure got the best of both worlds; a private room with ensuite, pool, bar, huge kitchen facilities, friendly staff but it was at least $100 cheaper than a comparable Hotel in which I couldn't make my own meals (which helped save on costs). There are much cheaper dorm options available but I like my privacy. There were a range of people staying there from families, young backpackers to a more 'mature' group.

Beaches is located a 5-8min stroll to Cable Beach, there is a bus stop virtually out the front, a general/convenience store at the front of the building, scooter hire and 2 great restaurants (Zeebar, Zoo Cafe) next-door.

I will definitely be staying here next time I am in Broome again.

“Good vibe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

The vibe here was relaxed, and it was good hanging out in the shared areas, such as around the pool, talking to the other people staying there. It was interesting talking with other travellers, including the people from other countries working in Broome temporarily.

The room was nice enough, but the noisy, with people getting back late at night.

I stayed in a "hotel room", and there were more basic rooms available with shared bathrooms. It was very expensive, considering that the room was small, with a tiny TV, and not even a phone in the room. The fact that it was cheaper than the surrounding resorts doesn't really count for me. Next time I would stay in another part of Broome, and just drive to Cable Beach. For several people it would certainly work out cheaper doing that, even renting a compact car for driving around Broome and over to Cable Beach if wanted (many of the car rental companies even deliver the car to you).

The only real advantage in staying at Beaches of Broome, apart from talking with fellow travelers, was that there were good restaurants nearby and the gorgeous Cable Beach was a short walk away.

“Surprise value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

This is better than the usual backpacker accommodation and for Broome offered good value at an affordable price in the peak season.
The rooms (my wife and I and 2 daughters) stayed in a 3 bedroom private room and found it to be neat, well equipped and clean. The ammenities are modern, clean and well located.
Beaches of Broome offered a very attractive entry feel and opennness (reception, bar kitchen and dining facilities and pool all around a central courtyard.
We would go back given it is located at Cable Beach (a shortish walk).

“Excellent Budget Accommodation with a Resort feel !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a long road trip which finished in Broome. We thought it was a backpackers but were pleased to find it offered much more. For a start it had a great pool/deck area and a bar with really affordable prices - beers were cheaper than the pub down the road. It had a very nice courtyard and cooking facilities were in a large industrial kitchen.

The rooms were basic but clean. Shared bathrooms were fine.

It was only 200 meteres from Cable Beach and the bus to Broome town centreis right out the door.

I would highly recommended it for the family travelling on a budget. It was actually cheaper than an on-site cabin in the local caravan/camping parks.
