We stayed at Quest Prahran apartments for the Australian Open - only 3 train stops away. The apartments were spacious and spotless. Even though the location is adjacent to train line you would not know it. Walking distance to shops and cafes/restaurants. Reception staff professional and helpful. Only criticism would be that there were only 4 pieces of each crockery (ie. 4 x bowls, 4 x dinner plates) and we are a family of 5. Am sure if we bothered to ask for extra it would have been no trouble, just never got around to it! Also, no corridors like hotels have so you didn't have the noise from other guests going by your room. Would definitely stay again if we needed to be on this side of town.

I left a review on Trip Advisor last year for Quest Prahran and for some mysterious reason it has disappeared!
I don't know if the owners of the hotel have the powers to remove reviews but that's not fair nor trueful to the Trip Advisor network, if Trip Advisor allowed this to happen.

My review was very fair but just like other travellers point out, this place has an unfortunate problem with nightclub noise next door, but actually around the corner, the nightclub backs onto the right hand side of Quest.

But here I am again to report that these appartments are GREAT but DON'T stay on the right hand side of the complex in particular APPARTMENTS 735 & 737, these are the larger multi room appartments. Unless you are an extremely heavy sleeper, the nightclub actually vibrates and thumps through the walls into these appartments. It continued until after 9am on the Sunday morning when we 1st stayed there, it's really awful.

We went back for a second stay this year at Quest and was happy to report our second visit was much better as we stayed on the left hand side of the complex on the reception side. The appartments are in a fantastic location, they are comfortable and clean, the only problem is the nightclub noise, which is not their fault unfortunately. But the Prahran Council permits this nightclub to operate on a 24 hour clock, unless this has recently changed. Thumbs down to that council ! I actually reported the noise to the Prahran Police station and they couldn't do a thing as the council has given them permission.

So unless the hotel owners can report the closure of the nightclub next door and the noise problem has been solved, my review deserves to stay here!
I'm sorry to the owners of Quest, but travellers who pay good money for a decent nights sleep deserve the know.

Quest Prahran is a clean and convenient apartment hotel. The rooms aren't huge but for a weekend or week long stay they were fine. The location is excellent, right next to Prahran Market and near the corner of Chapel Street and Commercial Road.

Our ground floor room opened right onto the central courtyard so we could see and hear other people coming and going. At a couple of points a few people were standing around in the car park for short periods having a beer before heading off to the football, which could have gotten disturbing. Also to get fresh air you had to have the door open which felt a little communal.

Overall though it was good value and good to have more space than a hotel room.

I had a conference in St Kilda Road so the location was perfect as I could walk. It’s around the corner from Chapel Street so I got the chance to look at some great shops too! The staff were really friendly and helpful and my apartment was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Melbourne.
