“Great room, location and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

We were here for 3 weeks and had a very enjoyable stay. The room we got was on the same side (as opposed to facing) as the reception and hence we did not have any issues with the nightclub noise that some of the previous reviews had highlighted.

What we really liked
1. Location: very close to public transport (trams and trains), supermarkets/Prahran market and a wide variety of restaurants (both in terms of cuisine and budget), DVD rental store, public swimming pool etc.
2. Service: Very helpful and pleasant people (Emily, Sarah etc. were fanstatic)
3. Our room: Modern, clean and well equipped

We did have a slight hickup with our credit card (i.e., they charged the wrong (overseas) card) - but they apologised and reversed the transaction for us immediately.

All in all, we had a great 3+ weeks at Quest Prahran.

“Great all round!”

I live in South Yarra and needed accommodation whilst the family home was renovated. I stayed at Quest Prahran and loved it! The staff provided 5 star service throughout the month that we were there. In relation to the noise that others have reported I'd say it would have been coming from the large niteclub around the corner which closed its doors in May. The property is lovely and quite. I don't know what it was like previously as we checked in after the niteclub had already closed but there was certainly no issue of noise for us. We were very happy with the apartment and service! The location is great to, being around the corner from the Prahran Market. We have recommend Quest Prahran to friends visiting from interstate.

“A nice room in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2011

We stayed here for one night recently, and after reading some poor reviews, I was quite impressed. The units are self-contained and quite large. The sleep quality is fantastic (Room 729) compared to a hotel we stayed in at St Kilda the night before, where the trams sounded like they were coming through our bedroom. The bedrooms are spacious and the hotel is in a great location, close to Chapel St and also to the Prahran train station. I cannot comment on the value or service as it was booked through a friend and we did not have any dealings with staff. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Melbourne.

“Great apartments but bring your ear-plugs!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2010

These apartments are in a great location on a side street off Chapel & Commercial. The service is great, rooms clean BUT our room (#712) along with a few others back onto the Market Nightclub. The music from the club throbbed through our bedroom walls from 10:30pm until 5:30am the next morning! It was impossible to sleep through the "doof doof" of the bass nightclub music. We were given no warning of this so couldn't even prepare ourselves with ear-plugs. It was a Monday night which surprised us even more but as it was a public holiday over the Christmas period the nightclub was open.

I suggest if you want a quiet night's sleep get an apartment on the opposite side. One that doesn't share a wall with the night club. The staff were very apologetic afterwards but we really shouldn't have been put in that room with two children (8yrs & 4yrs) and us. We were also offered no recompense for no night's sleep!

“Family friendly apartment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2010

We stayed at Quest Prahran apartments for the Australian Open - only 3 train stops away. The apartments were spacious and spotless. Even though the location is adjacent to train line you would not know it. Walking distance to shops and cafes/restaurants. Reception staff professional and helpful. Only criticism would be that there were only 4 pieces of each crockery (ie. 4 x bowls, 4 x dinner plates) and we are a family of 5. Am sure if we bothered to ask for extra it would have been no trouble, just never got around to it! Also, no corridors like hotels have so you didn't have the noise from other guests going by your room. Would definitely stay again if we needed to be on this side of town.
