The rooms were very cramped. The kids bumped into tables etc. There was no A/C for the second bedroom. Finally they over-charged $100 blaming us for not leaving the room in a good conidition - an absoulte lie.

This motel is about 5 minute walk from the main tramlines into the centre. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and the rooms are quite nice. So if you can't afford to stay right in the centre, this is a reasonable alternative.

Had a great week staying at Parkville and would highly recommend the apartments as a place to stay for anyone travelling to Melbourne for a conference. The proximity to Lygon St is a huge bonus and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for me. Thanks Warren for your help during the week.

My family and I stayed at Parkville Place Apartments for a week in October in their so called 'Family Apartments'.

The apartment was clean and had full cooking facilities so suited our needs perfectly. The location is a couple of km's north of the CBD so easy access to to the city using public transport. It was clean and cheap and very good value for money, it is only 3 stars but even so I have stayed in many places with a higher star rating that would be worse than this. The staff were friendly and helpful, the only problem we did encounter during the week was with the kettle and this was immediately replaced when brought to the attention of the front desk.

Overall I have no problem recommending this place to others looking for a clean, reasonably priced place to stay in Melbourne.
