“Absolutely disgusted!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2011

I completely agree with most of these reviews. When i stayed here the spa did not work, was barely big enough for one person to fit let alone two ( we were led to believe it was a spa/jacuzzi, it was merely a small bath with 4 jets that did not work at all ), it was also filthy. The pool was freezing and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for at least a month. I was to scared to swim in it. The grounds were tatty and looked as if they were falling to ruin. My partner booked for two nights for the valentines weekend but we ended up going home after one night as the bed was so uncomfortable we could not sleep. The floors definitely needed attending as they were filthy and stained. Towels also had some strange stains on them so we did not use them. Our sheets had rips in them and room was very dusty. I had hay-fever all night. The air-conditioner was very loud and annoying. Considering the state of the motel i found the menu pricing way to high. I did not eat there and am glad i didn't. My partner and i were very disappointed and will NEVER stay at this motel again. Also the table and chairs around the pool had big rust stains on them. There were cigarette butts outside our bedroom, back and front. There looked to be mold growing in the bathroom which was disturbing. This place should be inspected by health and safety and probably closed down. Apart from all that, the pricing was good although i would not pay $1 to stay here again. Not even if i were offered a free year! The staff ( a male ) at reception was very friendly and welcoming although a bit crude. We did manage to find something enjoyable though. A Malaysian restaurant that delivered to the hotel, cheap and actually really amazing food. So it wasn't an entire waste of time and money. We did enjoy the time together alone. Take no notice of the photos on the site. If you do you will be sadly disillusioned. Oh and the 'free internet' did not work.

“Disappointed at service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2010

We had previously been to this property finding that it offered reasonable value and we booked based mainly on the fact it was very close to the place we were attending this weekend . The gardens still needed cleaning up , the property was still looking dated , but the room at the rear we had was fairly well furnished , overlooked the pool and It was quite at night . The air conditioner looked dodgy as the front was hanging of it , the fridge/bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly and the tv needed a update . The service the next morning at breakfast was poor with the resulting breakfast order mixed up and the food over cooked . On check out we where over charged , the receptionist only believed us after we pointed out the pre payment details on our Wotif confirmation [lucky we brought a copy] and claimed her email was different ??

“The Pits”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2010

The room and curtains smelt stale and dusty. All the bed linen (blankets, pillows) and towels were not clean and fresh. The shower was no better temperature or pressure wise than a bush camp shower. There was no folder of information in relation to the use of TV, phone or internet nor details of the available services or places of interest in the surrounding area. The room service was minimal only the change of towels and no coffee satchels or milk replenished. The room, bed and bathroom was disgustingly unhealthy ,dirty and drab and would be the worst motel we have had the displeasure of staying in. At most we would rate it at 2.5 or below.

“Pleasantly surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2009

I stayed here on a business trip and the previous reviews were a concern. However I was pleased that for the price it was quite a nice hotel. Most of the room seemed new, but the bathroom seemed quite old. It was perfectly clean and secure. It’s just off a main road so don’t expect rolling mountain views, but you might get some gardens or ask for a view over the pool. I was in room 37 and it was good. It was not excellent, not a firve star, but for just over $100 it was a good deal.

“OK but a bit tired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2008

Booked an apartment room through the motel website for $125 a night. The accommodation was two interconnected rooms providing plenty of space with two bathrooms and two TVs. The apartment came with a kitchenette with basic cooking facilities, a queen bed, a single and a foldaway bed. The apartment was reasonably clean and tidy but had a rather strong musty smell. The furnishings were in fair condition although the foldaway bed collapsed in the middle if you lay on it, making it unuseable. Overall the apartment was rather dated and could do with refurbishment.

The motel is situated in a suburban area with very few facilities within walking distance.

  • Liked — Spacious. Reasonable value.
  • Disliked — Musty odour.
