Having just returned from a 6 night stay at these excellent apartments mid January 2012, here are a few tips. My friend and I choose Best Western whenever possible and this property did not disappoint. The 2 bedroom apartments are well appointed.. with flat screen TV, well stocked kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, gas cooker etc. The bedrooms are quite spacious. it also has 2 bathrooms, compfortable living area and large balcony.
This property is well run and very quiet. The location is excellent for those who wish to experience another side of Melbourne. Box Hill Centro is a ten minute walk away where one can catch the train to the city or other suburbs. Centro shopping complex has supermarkets,clothing stores, liquor stores,banks,gift shops etc and a plethora of Chinese restaurants. For those who want to visit local history.. The Box Hill Town Hall is a must see, it is one of the finest in the country with a fabulous theatre and extremley helpful and courteous staff who are only too willing to offer advice on the local sights...Also the local Library is practically next door where once again the staff are very helpful indeed.
It is a pity therefore that my only critique is the desk staff at The Tudor let this Property down some what, they don't seem too willing to offer information on bus routes or local information nor do they appear to be too interested in offering advice on the units.
With one exception..Monica who was in charge of housekeeping.She was a wonderful ambassador for Best Western..Polite and genuine she went out of her way offering information and has excellent people skills..management needs to be aware of her as an asset to their establishment and hopefully not waste her valuable contribution.
We felt she should have been on reception. All in all this is a very good property in an excellent location. Do try it.
