My partner and I booked through wotif, a special deal that included a bottle of house wine and 1pm check out. At check in the receptionist was very cold and rude. We were given a bottle of white, which we don't drink, and asked if we could have red instead. She said she didn't have any more. We asked could she ask the restaurant if they had any but she refused to make the call. Bad first impression. We rang the restaurant from our room and they were more than happy to swap the wine and brought it up to our room with a smile. Our room was a bit shabby with a dirty shower, but the bed was a real king rather than two singles pushed together and we had lovely views so we were pretty happy with it. Dinner was lovely, the waitress was just wonderful, wish I could remember her name, I hope management realises what an asset she is (put her on reception!). At check out again the same receptionist, arrogant and rude, didn't even bother giving us the pin to open the carpark gate so we had to go all the way back up to reception to get it. Definitely not a four and a half star hotel, but the manager was very nice to us (put him on reception!). Would definitely return if there was a different (and nicer) receptionist.
