“Great Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed two nights here to attend the Boxing day test. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the MCG. It is close to all the central Melbourne attractions and the City circle free Tram. The best thing about this Hotel is the staff. They are courteous, highly efficient and very, very good at their jobs. The check in process was trouble free, and any request was met with a well mannered keen response and dealt with straight away.

“Mercure Treasury Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

A relatively small hotel in a perfect location opposite the gardens, near the corner of Flinders Street, and within walking distance of the MCG and Entertainment Centre. Tram stops just around the corner. Our room had a king bed, a large flat screen TV, a decent shower and a view over the gardens. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging taxis and providing information. I would definitely stay here again.

“Very handy to central Melbourne and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Just spent three nights here. We booked through WOTIF AUS$100 night so we didnt expect 5*****. The room was clean and tidy bit on the small side , there were others that were larger as we had other family staying as well and compared. The bathroom was tiny but still ok. We returned to our rooms late in the day when the housekeepers wanted to service the room which was a little late so just got change of towels, think they could have been earlier, I presume you could ask. The staff were great and very helpfull and we enjoyed being close to the CBD. We would return however perhaps try for a park view room.

Room Tip: Ask for big bathroom, early service and if possible Park view. Some rooms appeared bigger than other...

Dear Accor traveler from Sydney

Thank you for booking the Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens again and taking the time to share your experience on Tripadvisor.

While the 2nd floor does over look the gardens, it is true that the higher you get the greater the panoramic view of the gardens. Should you allow us to assist with you accommodation again for next year’s Australian Open, can I ask that you contact me directly. I would be more than happy to ensure we allocate the room type you experienced, and were happy with, on you first visit.

Thank you again and we hope to welcome you back next year.

Kind regards

Phil O’Brien
