Having read other reviews we were apprehensive about staying at the Medina Executive. Location is very central at the top end of Flinders Street, only a short walk to Federation Square and Flinders Street Station. Tram stop going down Flinders Street right outside. IGA express supermarket next door. Excellent views from our 8th floor apartment. Rooms are looking very tired and dated and in desperate need of a refurb, though the 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. Other reviews regarding noise levels were unfounded during our stay and we slept soundly. Tram and train noise was not an issue and we failed to locate any nightclubs close by. We did notice a nightclub near the Medina at the lower end of Flinders Street and wonder if some of the other reviews relate to that building. Staff were very helpful and polite especially when the washing machine did not work, offering the services of housekeeping to do our washing. Washer/dryer combination machine confusing, prefer separate machines (especially when you are trying to do laundry within a short time frame). Staff assisted with printing boarding passes, ordering taxi and storing luggage. Question mark on the 4 1/2 star rating. Would consider staying here again but only after major refurb.

Great location - walk to shops, MCG, tennis, Fed Square, Flinders St station etc. Good size lounge, dining area. Comfy lounge & beds. Appliances could be better - small tv, foxtel only in lounge, no DVD player. Whitegoods need improvement or instructions eg. all dials on oven & cooktop worn off. Washing machine difficult to use - had to dig out hard caked powder from 3 areas of drawer ( obviously other guests have struggled) - instructions would be helpful, it did not wash properly & took forever. It was called Medina Executive, but no bathrobes, shower caps, moisturizer etc. Again, great location, comfy furniture, good size rooms - would stay here again.

i spent one night in a very comfortable apartment which i thought was a very acceptable price.

Location - in the middle, if you need to be in the middle this is very middlely.

Service - apart from check in and check out i had no dealings but they were speedy and i like speedy.

Room - large, clean, modern, comfortable. A Separate kitchen, lounge and bedroom with dining table made for a very easy stay. I would stay here again for sure.

All was well for this great located hotel until returning after dinner. Put on the wall airconditioning and thought that a 747 was landing all night. No external windows to the room and it was just plain uncomfortable. Never again! If you are staying, check the aircondioner is quiet. Having spent more than 50 nights a year away on travel, this is something you don't needed
