About 1 km from Flinders St Station and very close to VIctoria Markets, this hotel is well located for a short stay in Melbourne. The room was very basic but clean and the staff courteous and helpful. The bed was bearable without requiring a chiropractor in the morning. The view was non-existant - a close view of a high rise. You get what you pay for.

we came to melbourne for the weekend to see the roger waters concert.didnt want to spend a fortune on a hotel..we came across hotel ibis.wow if all hotels are as good as this at the price we should come to melbourne more often.the staff so friendly and helpfull.free breakfast in the bistro.so many choices we didnt know what to eat so we just had a bit of everything.had dinner in the bistro sat night.sorry we cant remeber our hosts name but fantastic service.were big eaters and couldnt finish our meals.very happy.our only 2 complaints are lack of wifi but that might be normal with hotels.just crossed the road to maccas. and the bed sheets very stiff and noisy.every time you move they made noise.were both light sleepers.room was very clean all we expected for the price plus a little more.next time were in melbourne i wont look anywhere else.just book in there again very very happy.
