This is slightly shabby Hilton in a nice area of Melbourne. I stayedh er for a conference and the first night I had to ask for a new room because the king sized bed (two twins put together) was uneven. The two mattresses must've been different. Also, my bathroom had a funky smell that emanated that was most unpleasant.
The service at the front desk was top notch, though. Everyone I encountered on my 3 night stay was exceptionally polite, helpful, and professional.
The room service was also good - my food arrived quickly and was delicious.
I think this hotel suffers from a need for an upgrade. My TV, while being a flat screen, had terrible sound quality. The shower fixtures were loose and difficult to manipulate. The dark red carpets in the bedrooms seemed very 1980s.
I'm glad I wasn't paying for the rooms. But again, the service was phenomenal!
Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main road!
