We recently stayed overnight here based on the good reviews we saw on here. The room was great with a comfy bed, very clean and modern and a great shower with great inclusions in the room such as the use of a nespresso machine. What we found disappointing was its distance from the waterfront and Salamanca, or any nice restaurants/cafes close by so the immediate area lacked atmosphere. Worth it for $125 a night but seems to cater for big Asian coach tour groups as alot was written bilingual in the room and we saw a big tour bus arrive when we departed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Mercure Hobart and we are pleased that your enjoyed your stay at the hotel, with the exception of location. Whilst we are located 900 metres from the water front at Salamanca, we do appreciate that personal preference may mean that this distance is too far.
