We stayed in a two storey townhouse and have to say, as seasoned travellers, our accommodation and dealings with management or should we say, lack thereof at the 'Quest on Sturt' are the worst we have ever encountered !!!!

Where to begin ??

1) Garage is far too small for any car larger than a mini.
2) Dark, dingy & depressing downstairs.
3) Not located in a nice part of town.
4) Strong smell of mould when bathroom shower turned on.
5) Toilet in En-suite runs continually until cistern is thumped !!
6) Rubber on mattresses, which are not nice to sleep on in hot summer nights.
Especially when ..........Yes, you guessed it ......
7) Air Conditioning doesn't work !!

Some things you can tolerate but an Air Conditioner that doesn't work in heat up to 40 degrees is definitely not one of them !!!!
Even their own staff came in and commented how hot is was in the apartment.
When we complained to the girl on reception we were given a ....... DESK FAN !!!


The heat was so unbearable we cut our stay short by 6 days and would certainly not agree with the 4* rating.

Word of warning, if you do stay here and have a complaint, don't expect any acknowledgment from Management.

Our stay was definitely NOT a pleasant experience !!!!!

My daughter and her friends arranged to stay one night after their Year 12 formal only to get to the hotel and was informed that they could not have the room that was booked for them because of a deposit that was not paid. The friend's mom had $300 taken out from her credit card account and yet the hotel did not have any record that a deposit was paid, even after this mother received confirmation that the room was ready for her daughter and friends, even after speaking with hotel staff the night before to confirm the room would be ready for her daughter and friends.. So not happy with the customer service, my daughters friend's mother decided to cancel the room and ended up paying another $300 cancellation fee.. So far she's ended up loosing $600 for a room that was not used. They definitely need to improve communications between reservation and reception.

Having read many of the positive reviews we opted to stay here for the weekend of the Pageant. I should have taken notice of the ones that said "grotty". We should have gone home, home is much, much cleaner and more comfortable and we would not have been out of pocket. Location was good, convenient, perfect for the Pageant It was apartment 31 so def not 4 star, would struggle to be 3! It's a pity that it isn't properly cleaned and painted, then it would be worthwhile spending your money.

Just got back from spending 4 nights here on a family break.
Reception was a good start - our allocated room was missing a parking entry fob (critical for this location) so without any issue we were given an alternative apartment.
The apartment was a townhouse set up and very clean. They are effectively a 2 bedroom + study and 2 bathroom set up and very modern.
Downstairs the kitchen had good quality appliances and was reasonably well equipped for cutlery and utensils although as ever you need to wash up regularly if you are staying with kids to avoid running out of stuff.
Technology was good with 2 TVs and a DVD player although the main TV was on the small side and the DVD unit was non-functional but this was not a big issue.
The location is awesome, really close to the CBD and the Glenelg tram and parklands.
Would definitely stay here again.
