We booked the IC mostly because of the location, but also because we are Ambassador Club members and try to book IC when possible. The location IS fantastic, easy access to the bus, tram, river walks - everything we were looking for in Adelaide.

Check in was hassle free, the room, while a bit dated was comfortable enough for 5 nights. The Club level perks were nice, as was the service. We made use of the Concierge for dinner reservations and we were impressed with their willingness to help and the suggestions that were made.

Overall it was a great stay, and we would book the InterContinental Adelaide again if were to return.

Room spotless, excellent location, room service prompt and yummy. Organised wakeup call and taxi without a hitch (I know this should be standard but many places can let you down.) Reasonably priced considering weekend of TDU and proximity to everything.

We are priority members and have stayed at the Intercontinental in Bali, Bangkok, Fiji, Sydney and Manilla in the last two years. The adelaide property is not up to the usual 5 star standards. The buliding and decor is very dated and the rooms small. When we commented to the hotel manager that the club breakfast was below par ( very limited selection and cold ! ) and could we have breakfast in the downstairs buffet as an alternative, we were told that this wasnt possible !. The desk manager also commented that she has stayed in other Intercontinental properties and that we couldnt expect the same level of service in Adelaide !.

This was our first negative experience at an Intercontinental hotel.

Stayed for business mostly & to attend the TDU and visit family. Need to have car as Adelaide is best viewed by getting out & about. The city itself is ordinary but the bonus from this hotel is u can walk along the river to things like the zoo etc & into central markets & Chinatown for good eating options. Room and beds so comfortable & pool very nice. Bit disappointed with food from room service but I prefer to eat out. Would have enjoyed an option of steamed vegetables as that's what I always miss when travelling.
