Tucked away in a side street the Franklyn Apartments didn't initially look impressive. However, the accommodation was excellent. We found that some apartments were occupied by long-term guests. As our own was furnished well enough to live in for long periods I was not surprised. The main room had a bar style well-equipped kitchen with good cooking facilities and a good size fridge freezer. There was a dining suite as well as chairs to relax in. The separate bedroom did not have a window to the outside and was not oversized, but was ample for our needs. The bathroom also had launderette facilities; both washer and dryer. The staff were excellent and the way the apartment was serviced each day was exceptional. There is also a cafe next to the foyer if required. Access to the city and the attractions were very good. I might have wished for a better view but we were certainly made to feel comfortable and welcome and would choose to stay there again should I ever get the chance.

We got a wonderful surprise upon checking in and checking out our room. We had not stayed here before and grabbed a deal on the net without too much research.
The apartment was alot bigger than we thought with two bedrooms and a terrific fully equipped kitchen.
Only negative from us would be the pressure from the shower was light on.
Staff were great and very helpful.
The location is the biggest drawcard we feel. We walked to the city to do Christmas shopping and left our car in the carpark at the apartment all day. Only two blocks and you're at the mall.
A couple of blocks in the other direction is Gouger Street, the markets, Chinatown etc etc - fantastic places to eat and wander.

Very good for long stay with family.I stayed there with wife and 2 kids in a 2 bedroom unit.Cooking facility is excellent but air conditioning was insufficient and the bedrooms are dark.

We were challenged to find what the 4 star rating was for when we checked into our room on the 2nd floor. The one bedroom apartment seemed to have a clumbsy design, the bedroom dark and cramped with the queen bed only just squeezed into the room.

Friends of ours joined us the following day and had adjoining rooms on the ground floor that opened at street level. These rooms were much better in lay out and they were all very happy with tier accommodation.

So it depends which room you get.

Don't expect a view anywhere as a multi story complex under construction is all you will see, anywhere. Location and value are the strengths here.
