“Worst hotel I have stayed in ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2012

I have no choice the company I have contracted to have me booked me in here for another 4 nights. I am here for a total of 10 nights and I am working 12 hour days I just want to eat, shower and sleep.
Rooms are terribly lit, TV's are some old small mini box, door to fridge cupboard about to fall off, bed mattress soft or to old and the bed moves around. The light above the mirror does not work. No comfy chair to sit it.
The restaurant say you dont need to book and then tell you they cant serve you for two hours. Was fully booked on a Monday and a Saturday. Barramundi when you could eat there was a frozen steak, risotto was just a glug. Reception advised that there is McDonalds nearby. Heating in the room is too noisy and wakes me up The view from the room window is just a brick wall. Maybe I expect too much.

Dear lynn H,

I am sorry to hear you have not enjoyed your stay!

It's seems we have stumbled a little on the maintenance on your room.

Maintenance did a check your room during your stay and found all lights to be working and YES the door did have 2 loose screws which we have since tightened. We hope to change out all TV's by the last quarter of 2012 which will allow us to offer a better viewing of the 4 FOX sports channels and 2 Movie channels. On your departure we will have an external contractor check your AC unit to ensure it is operating efficiently.

We are finding the hotels Restaurant is getting busier and busier and previously it had not been required to book a table but moving forward we will be taking bookings to ensure our guests are catered for or a pre warned about availability.

Your comments regarding the view unfortunately cannot be helped as we do have buildings either side of the hotel interrupting views.

We have noted your points for improvement and thankyou for your constructive feedback as we seek to continually improve our hotel and services for future guests.

Kind Regards

“Clean and efficient.”

This is fairly well located for business or pleasure. It is about a ten minute walk to intersection of Nth Tce and King William Street. The rooms are quite small but have all you need and are very clean. There is some limited parking at the rear of the hotel, it is quite 'tight' however and the spaces are quite small. There I'd food available, but I did not sample this. It is a quick and easy drive (15 min) to the airport too.

“helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2012

Enjoyed 3 night stay, noisy neighbours first(Saturday) night, but after that quiet. Clean room. Step into bathroom a bit dangerous, had a few stubbed toes. Breakfast buffett lovely, nice fresh fruit etc. Had a meal one evening, excellent steak and great service. Away from centre of town but just a short walk in. More information on the free buses would have been good. Will stay again.

“Business conference in Adelaide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2012

person found this review helpful

In February 2012 I hosted a sales conference at the Adelaide Riviera for the company that I work for (Barmac Pty Ltd). I found the service was of high standard, with the function room we used met all my requirements. The accommodation was also of a high standard, yet well priced. The staff were always helpful and looked after us very well.

“Very tired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2012

I stayed at this place about 8 years ago and sadly nothing has changed literally. Rooms are pretty tired and definately not 4 star. I couldn't believe that they still had a tube screen television. On the plus side it has free parking and although it is limited i have always been able to get a park. The bar/restaurant area is very nice and recently been done up. There is no way that I would stay here again until it is done up.

Thank You user gilbycr for your comments!

Your comments are valid and we are in the process of updating the first 2 floors of the hotel. Our plan is to have new carpet installed in the rooms and corridors of the first and second floors and hope to have new flat screen TV's introduced with the next quarter. We have a 1/3 of the hotel with new TV's but are on th 3rd and 4th floors.

We have looked at making the restaurant a pleasant experience and again in the next quarter will see new chairs installed with a splash of paint just to keep it fresh.

Appreciate your comments and will always try to improve the prouduct where possible!

Regards
