I stayed here on a business trip to Adelaide in December. It sounded interesting in its description. I much prefer small boutique hotels than flashy 5 stars. Although very clean and tidy inside, and the staff were friendly the place was bit lifeless even a little lonely. The location is good, quiet street not far from the hip and happening west end and botanical garden. Expenisve for what it was.

This is the only hotel that We would never recommend and would never return to.
It is hard to find any redeeming features about it.
It is dark and lifeless.
They should have called it "The Bunker" but this would have shown some humor which this hotel lacks
The hotel is rated as 5 star but it is only a 4 if that. They certainly charge 5 star. Forget about breakfast being included, here you will have to pay for simple courtesy water.
The Decor is dark and uninviting, pseudo chic but with no consideration for the guests they are to house
Art for art sake and it does not work. The artwork in our room was of a woman's face tears falling down her face, painted in the same drab colors. It was not comforting and in fact the room unnerved me. Could it be the painted cement cieling that made me feel trapped?
We actually rang the desk to see if we could get another room. The only available room was much the same. The desk management treated us with some annoyance. It was suggested to drink a bottle or two of the French champagne and then it would not matter where we were. The other room was a piddly $10 extra but they were wanting to charge it. A good indication of the guest satisfaction and consideration.
The bathroom is tiny and the shower is so small you hit against the wall when washing.
I could write more but it will only fuel my disappointment.
Final word don't go.

Stayed here for one night whilst on a short visit in Adelaide visiting family. We stayed in a studio room, which was adequate and had everything we needed - comfortable bed, flat screen tv, great aircon and a small but adequate bathroom (press the sink plug in if you want to release it). The whole room was very tastefully decorated and indeed clean and comfortable.

There is also a nice decked mini pool area on the rooftop. It's a short 10 minute walk to plenty of eateries/cafes along Rundle St.

We didnt have much interaction with staff other than checking-in and checking-out, but there was no hassles.

Would consider staying here again.

What a great find this hotel is! Gorgeous in every way. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms beautifully finished. I particularly like the big open windows ... Lots of fresh air. Food in the restaurant is also great. Can't wait to come back!
