Most remote locations like this have not much to offer accommodation wise. We stayed at the campsite with our 4x4 turned to camper.
The facilities at the campsite are very basic and a bit old. The price is relatively high but what do you expect in the middle of nowhere of nowhere.
The bar/restaurant are nice. The food is decent and you can get a bottle of wine as well. Considering the location the prices are reasonable although the fuel prices are quite high.
The bar is indeed a typical outback pub with teh standard collection of T-shirts, bras, business cards, and other stuff people apparently did not need anymore.
Overall it is a good experience while driving along the Oodnadata track for 1 night. You can also organize a flight over Lake Aire from here.
The oodnadata track itself was fun due to the old railroad track and all the buildings along the way. The road was pretty good when we travelled here in April 2011.
