“Paradise Bay truly deserves its name and 5 star ratings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This is the best holiday we've had in Australia. Apart from being located at one of the most desired places in the world, what really makes this place feel like paradise are the staff. The level of service and care provided is amazing. Every detail is taken care of and you're are treated like royalty.

This escape made us feel extremely happy and relaxed. The hardest part was saying goodbye to the incredible staff and beauty of the place.

It's extremely sad to think that Paradise Bay may close by the end of February 2012. I truly hope this piece of paradise and wonderful staff continue to open its doors for many years to come.

“one for the memories”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

dining is 5 star, canopies, entree, mains and desserts - starting with a homemade cocktail - brilliant!...
then there is the catamaran or Speed boat to take you each day to a different destination - white haven beach, sth mole island, hiking, snorkeling - some great spots with plenty of fish, coral and views.
there are only ten bungalows each very private with bay views, and ensuite and a big comfy bed!
the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble.

oh and the friends you meet whilst doing all this - again brilliant! ...

the other side of the coin it can get a little warm and there are mozzies..

they supply it all , sunscreen, mozzie repellent , moisturizer, fins, snorkels, food and wine ... also kayaking

Room Tip: probably rooms no.5 - 10 have a little more privacy but its all good

“An absolutely divine experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

My fiance and I had the most incredible time here, I would actually call it an 'experience' and not just a holiday. It was as relaxing as a health retreat, as beautiful as anywhere in the world, and the staff are just divine - nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and the atmosphere relaxed; the bed one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! We felt spoiled from the moment we arrived, and ended up getting engaged on our trip.

I am so sad to hear that Paradise Bay has gone into receivership, as I was hoping we could spend our honeymoon here!

The only gamble with retreats where meals are served in communal dining rooms and activities are spent with these same people is that every now and then you can come across some really unpleasant people - and there is no escaping them!

“Just got back! What a beautiful holiday destination - Staff are amazing!”

We want to return!! Beautiful accommodation, AMAZING food and to top it off the staff could not have been more accommodating and were just lovely. Staff can make or break a Resort and Todd, Sophie, Nicole and Victor were top notch and geniunely devoted to making the stay as wonderful an experience as possible. The food was 5 star +++ , certainly something to remember! The boat cruises and different experiences offered on those trips were fantastic - hiking to Whitsunday Island peak to see a panoramic view of the Whitsunday Islands, picnics on the beach, coral snorkeling experiences, or stay back and do just nothing for a while! The group dinners turned out to be great fun, thanks to our fellow couple travellers, all got on like great mates! We still had our own time to be alone, choice is something that this place offers. If you want to not be bothered by phone, email or tv and spend quality down time and made to feel special, then this place is for you! (Please keep this place going, as we would like to return!)

Room Tip: All rooms are great, No. 5 was just right for us.

“Unforgettable”

Lets start at the beginning...I had never heard of Paradise Bay until the Cudo Deal but Thanks to them because this was one of the best getaways I have ever had! Yes we got a great deal but I would pay full price for this place! Rosie took our booking and she was great very friendly and we had a lengthy chat even though she was terribly busy with the hundreds of other calls she had to make. Great Start!

I was nervous about the helicopter transfer but in one word... AWESOME! What a way to go to a destination! We were greeted warmly by Nicole and Sophie and sat down for a run down on how the resort works with a glass of bubbly and chocys..yum. We then went to our bungalow which was simple but luxurious. The kings size beds are great and pillows are perfect. The little toiletries were a great touch and Elise(housekeeper) left something different each day. The chupa chups were great when chillin out reading a book in the hammock. There is no AC as it is an Eco resort but the fan at night is all that is needed as there was a constant breeze.

The restaurant area is set up wonderfully, comfey lounges, sunloungers, tables and chairs and an outdoor rain shower, also good to cool down with if you decide to have a lazy day. The food is always great and they cater for any dietary needs or preferences (like well cooked meat). The wine is matched with dinner and Soph does a great job explaining it. We did eat as a group 3 out of 4 nights and 1 night set up as couples. The people we met were a varied bunch but I don't think I have laughed so much in a long time! We even exchanged info when we left! You end up making friends here because of the intimacy of the resort only 10 couples at any one time. We had 9 couples when we were there, great bunch.

They have a speed boat (takes 6) and the catamaran(8), each day Greg comes at Breakfast and lets us know what he has planned for the day whether it be bushwalking, snokelling, visiting Whitehaven or just sailling around the whitsundays. How hard is that to take??? If you don't want to do what is planned then chill out at the resort and let them take care of you! They are tripping over themselves to serve you! They also have kayaks to take out for a paddle to spot the stingrays and turtles (we saw 2).Or you can play boardgames with the other guests many a laugh with Balderdash!

The girls do a great job dressing up the tables each night and the sunset cocktails and nibbles are to die for! Todd and Victor the chefs are amazing! My husbands birthday cake was divine. Thanks guys for such wonderful meals.

I cannot recommend this highly enough especially for any couples who need to completely getaway from busyness of everyday life. Expect wildlife in all forms, mozzies, march flies etc, they have an endless supply of aeroguard and sunscreen on hand to help with that. The wallabies are cute and curlew birds can be noisy critters at night but hey you are on an island in the tropics it is all part of the experience.

You leave how you came in, in a helicopter, this time I was pumped! We had such a relaxing, pampered time at Paradise I was not nervous! My husband and I had grins from ear to ear when we landed and even now 24 hrs after being home we cannot get the place out of our minds!

To Todd,Sophie,Victor,Nicole,Elise,Greg,Dave, and Stacey(decky) you made our stay memorable, one that we will treasure always. God Bless you all, you are such wonderful people! We will come back if someone buys Paradise (we wish we could!) and see you again for another break in the little slice of Heaven called Paradise Bay. Best wishes for the future.

Room Tip: All good. If you don't want to walk to number 10 choose number 1
