We got a very competitive room rate on the internet, and were positively surprised by this motel on the top of a little hill. The room was spacious and clean, the motel had a nice little swimming pool that saw regular use by the patrons, and the staff was friendly and helpful (they reacted to an issue with our sanitary infrastructure at 10pm within 5 minutes!). Excellent value for money!

A Woolworths and an excellent bakery are just a few minutes away down the hill, as is the beach front of Townsville.

Small notice to GPS users: our unit initially led us through an incredibly steep and narrow little sideroad to get to the motel. Don't let yourself be fooled by your GPS, the motel is actually perfectly well accessible from the main road!

Only stayed here 1 night and this place is nothing special. Clean room, clean sheets and comfortable bed, but, for what we paid this was so overpriced. You cannot walk to anything in town, definitely need to have a car here. Staff were just ok; the pool is tiny and looks like it could fit about 2 people.
There are plenty of other nice places to stay right in town or near the water. We won't be back!!

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night 19th oct ,(should have been longer) Booked an executive room (no 22) on wotif $99 per night amazing. Room very spacious ,very clean, renovated equipped with a flat 32" LCD screen Tv, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, split air conditioning,Austar and HD channels. Reception has a well stocked fridge for the purchase of beer, wine, UDL drinks as well as a good collection of soft drinks and confectionery at very good prices -beer $3,00, Extremely comfortable queen size bed.Very large bath room with separate shower with wall unit for gel shampoo,conditioner.Bathroom was far superior to $205 a night exe4curtive room at Castaways Spa at Mission beach.Owners very helpful and friendly ,Great pool,quite location ,yes it at the top of a small hill but only 2 minutes drive to Cowboy leagues,and centre of Townsville,GIVE IT A GO WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!!

We stayed for two nights in an upstairs executive room. We got this motel via a Wotif mystery deal. Great value, was only $105 per night. Room was spacious, well appointed with a large TV. Tea, coffee, biscuits and milk supplied. Toaster in room as well. Bathroom was good with a large shower and great hot water and shower head. Bed was lovely and comfortable. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night and it was very quiet. Location is great as you are virtually in the middle of the city without all the noise. Yes you need a car as it is on top of a steep hill, but seeing it is a motel surely most people would drive there. Two minutes drive and you are in the middle of the city and at Cowboys Leagues Club. I found the check in staff very nice and helpful and you can also buy COLD beer from reception at very good prices which is great. Would certainly stay at this motel again. The rooms do not have any private balconies but there is a table and chairs for every room outside on the common balcony if you wish to sit outside.
