loved it - cheap and cheerful. Won't stay anywhere else again!

I'm not usually one to write reviews but this place deserves the praise. When relocating to Townsville from the UK we stayed at Motel Palms for 3 weeks , owners Wayne and Beverley could have not been more helpful or friendly, they really made us feel at home. The rooms are simple motel style but pleasant and clean with all the necesary facilities and nightly movies. There is a lovely little pool and nice bbq area. Its a bit out of the city along the main motel 'drag' but its not a problem if you have transport. I highly recommend this place for its great hospitality, ideal for families.

Im not normally one for writing reviews, but the Motel Palms deserves to be written about.

I found it to be one of the cleanest and friendliest places i have ever stayed at. Although it is slightly out of the city, it has a beautiful pool and great facilities. I thoroughly reccommend it to all of my southern counterparts.

I came into town late one night and stumbled upon the wonderful hospitality of the Motel Palms.Not only was it clean, cheap (less than $70 for a double, with a courtyard!) quiet and neat but the people were the friendliest Northerners i have ever encountered.I thoughrorly recommend the Motel Palms for your next getaway!
