“rudest manager I ever met.”

This place's manager is very rude. I agree with other people's review. I really wonder why the property owner doesn't change the manager. If he or she keeps the rude managers here they will lose their customers. They think they own this place but we bloody pay to stay here. and blame all his fault to guests and want to have arguments with other guests. They don't think anything about guests but themselves. they are the rudest person I ever met. Never stay here!!!!!!!!

“Don't stay here!”

Bad hotel or resort what ever they call them self. Old male manger is cranky, not helpful at all, and makes you think he is doing you a favour by letting you stay in his over priced unclean rooms. Much better than this place of the gold coast so don't stay here! Tiny rooms, very old, dirty pool, bad service, hard smelly beds and pillows, iron that leaked black water over my white pants, not enough hot water for 2 showers, and most of all the manger! I would never recommend this old thing!

“DISGUSTING”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2010

This is the worst place I have ever been to. It is filthy dirty, the service is absolutely terrible (should I say, there is no service) the rooms are all airconditioned....but to use the airconditioner, you need to pay $5.00 rental per day! Once you have run out of toilet paper, you need to pay $2.00 per roll after that. The lady working at reception is so rude. Funny how all of these extra charges are not listed on the website or even mentioned when you book. And you have to pay in full on arrival, so it is hard to just walk out, which is exactly what we would have done. Would never recommend this to anyone, or would strongly advise for people NOT to stay here. for the same amount of money you can stay somewhere 10 times better.

“Pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price we paid”

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor after I had made a booking in a two bedroom apartment at Cascade Gardens I was almost dreading what would be awaiing us when we arrived. But I was very pleasantly surprised to find the apartment was very clean and functional with brand new remote control ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The decor inside the apartment was very old and tired, but I would not have expected much more for such a cheap price. The tiled balcony that ran all the way down the outside of the apartment was very handy for the kids to play on without causing hassle to other guests. The park adjoining the apartments was absolutely lovely but remember to cover yourself in Aeroguard first because the mosquitos are SAVAGE! The pool in the complex was a highlight, very clean (unheated though, which thankfully didn't worry the kids too much) and surrounded by lush, well-maintained tropical gardens. We had a car so travelling to shopping, theme parks etc was not a problem, I think though that it would be quite a tiring walk to Cavill Mall or Oasis shopping centre. On the whole we had a very good stay here.

“Please Don't stay!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2009

I work for a travel agency in New Zealand though I didn't book the Accommodation my step brother did online as he was paying for it he thought it was a good deal as the price was very reasonable for a weeks accommodation. We were in shock once we arrived it is the most disgusting place I have ever seen it is covered in mold, smells and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, I have to agree with other reviews and I wouldn’t let my pet stay there let alone a human!! I have never in my whole life seen anything like it.
I have seen backpackers in better condition than Cascade Gardens. Please do not stay here there are so many other nice places in Surfers to stay. Unfortunately we had to stay one night as we arrived late and had nowhere else to go, luckily we were able to book other accommodation that night via the internet which was a relief.
I will upload photos soon.
