I was there with my family of three in April 2009. Stayed there for 10 nights and must say that the accommodation was excellent. We were surprised on how spacious it was for our one bedroom apartment. I mean we are paying for about the same price for a typical hotel room but the apartment we had must be AT LEAST 4 times the size of a standard hotel room and on top of that we had a good view of the ocean which is a plus. All in room facilities such as the laundry and kitchen was working fine and clean too. Same can be said for the bed and the living room.
The place is prefectly situated. Within a short walking distance to Surfers Paradise yet it is at a quiet end of the area. We walked everyday from the apartment to the center of Surfers Paradise. We were there at the end of Summer so the weather was cool, perfect for a nice walk everyday. There's a convinient store a stone throw away which is good for us to buy stuffs and some food for us to cook and eat in the apartment. Bus stop is just in front which should be able to take you to Seaworld, Pacific Fair and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary etc. Bus Stop to the great Gold Coast theme parks is just a short stroll across from the apartment. Oh..I forgot the beach, it's just at the back of the apartment. Kupari has a nice small pool but with the beach and wave nearby, we didn't even bother.
Resident Manager, the ever friendly Phil, had arranged Airport Transfer at a price which is about the same as the buses you get at the Airport. The only difference is this one is a door to door service. We also bought theme park tickets from Phil at a cheaper price than buying at the counter which is also good as we didn't have to line-up at the theme parks counter to enter.
We enjoyed ourselves so much during our stay. We were there during the Easter celebration and even had the opportunity to watch free outdoor movie screening right at the beach.
This is a first time for us to stay in a self-service apartment for our holidays. Yes, you don't get a 24hour reception, no bell boys, no room service and other frills that you get staying in a typical hotel. But what you get is actually a home-away-from-home in Surfers Paradise for Kupari. Absolutely great. Can't wait to go back there soon.
