I would NOT advise anyone to stay at this property. The room was so dirty I had to spend an entire evening on arrival cleaning parts so that my children could bathe in the showers and go to bed. We arrived at around 4.50pm to be told if we were to have any issues the desk would close at 5pm sharp and all enquiries would have to wait until 8.30am next day. I requested to use the Computer internet and was told they only had one computer and I would be lucky if there was any paper in the printer.
The fridge was in such bad repair and dirty we chose not to use it for our food, which we found we could not cook due to the oven not working. The Carpets were so dirty I would not let the kids walk around without shoes. Windows and window sills obvisously had not been cleaned in years, the smell of the appartment was really bad but unfortunetly due to the wind we could not open up the appartment and then we were confronted with a sign saying the Air conditioner did not work.
The pool Fence was broken, and the seating was dirty. The fact you could not access any asssitance after 5pm is quite disturbing, along with the non response from the staff after complaining. Brad the manager did contact me regarding changing rooms which was very inconvienent as we had activities planned and would mean we could not attend them we would have had to repack and change to what I could not be guraanteed would be of any higher standard. He then did offer a what he claimed would be a substatial refund as he qsaid after inspectin (even after I had cleaned ) the room was unacceptable standard. He then said he would contact me regarding getting me the refund along with the $200 deposit hat is still on my Credit Card and has not been refunded after 8 days. To date I have left three messages asking for him to return my call, he has not.... I will be taking this further and reccommend that you do not stay in these appartments it will ruin any other section of your holiday as it did mine and my three children.

As we stayed here in December 2009, I cannot remember much but here are the things I do remember:
Sadly the first thing I remember is that the carpets were stained all over as well as the couch and wardrobe door so that made everything a bit uncomfortable, and we think the reason for that was because the schoolies had come to Surfer's in October/November. Also there were chip packets in the pantry.
The apartment we stayed in was very spacious and convenient as well as being located in a fantastic location with a very short walk to the beach.
The pool was fantastic apart from a group of people smoking and drinking in the spa (I'm not sure if it is allowed or not now but that's what they were doing when we were there).
However the place is a great way to experience Surfer's and I recommend it.

I would not advise anyone to stay at the moroccan. I have never stayed at such a dirty place in my life. The shower was full of mould and the carpet had never been cleaned. The room was smelly and so many things did not work. One elevator was not working properly and the keys to the pool fence did not work. If you want to swim in the pool you have to climb a 6 foot fence. Not easy to do with children. No parking spaces available either. The photos look great on the web site but I garantee you its not like this at all. Employ some proper cleaners because your motel is disgusting.

We chose to stay at the Moroccan again because our last 2 stays were great. (1998 & 2002).
But this time in Dec 2011 we received a SHOCK!
We did not receive the quality of accomodation expected for the top rate we paid! We were happy to pay the higher rate due to our stay being in peak season & happy to pay for what we remembered as good quality accomodation.
The first thing that slapped us in the face when we opened the doors, was the stench of cigarettes!!! This stench was permanently implanted in the furniture, curtains, carpet. It was suffocating!!!
Rooms stunk with a blend of cigarettes, urine and mold.
Shower recess was moldy with a tinge of yellow/orange colouring on the tiles and grout. The mold spores were over grown..health hazard!!
Toilet/powder room stuck of urine as the smell was coming through the drain on the floor!!
Inches of dust covered the ceiling fan blades.
Grease oozing out of the the kitchen range hood, not the mention the collection of dust that was stuck to it.
Blood stains on walls..liquid splatter stains on walls..black grotty marks on walls, light switches and door frames.
Spilt milk on fridge shelf, that seemed to have been there a lifetime.
Moldy and dusty outdoor furniture on grotty, cigarette but covered balcony.
This is no exaggeration.
I could continue on and on and on!!! There is more I could contribute to this review.
The reception/lobby, pool areas and gardens pose a deceiving look on what really lurks behind the closed apartment room doors. These areas were clean, spotless, manicured and tidy. A marketing mechanism for those who walk off the street looking for acommodation that matches the standards of these presentable areas!
