Location is very good in terms of beach and Cavill Ave access. 2-3 minute walk to beach and 5 or so to Cavill Ave.
It's close to a number of the usual high rise apartments, so was noisy, and they have a dump master at front which is emptied regularly at around 6.30am.
On arrival, staff were not overly welcoming, in fact during our whole stay they were sterile and just went on with their tasks. We have stayed at other locations in the Gold Coast and globally and these staff members were barely attentive and far from hospitable.
There are almost 'dictatorial' signs like don't do this, you must do that etc all over the place - almost like a prison (not that I have been).
We are not fussy people but the apartment never felt clean. Even on day one arrival we had sand or similar grit on the floor, even the lamps on the bedside tables were filthy and dusty with water marks on the shade and rust inside the light attachment area.
The kitchen and bathrooms were relatively new, but cheaply made over with the bathroom sink taps obviously being the old ones and almost hanging out of the sink, which made them awkward to use, no lights in the Robin Hood.
There were regular large visiting ants crawling around in the bedrooms which made our kids uneasy.
The BBQ on the right hand side was a joke. We spent an hour trying to cook a few sausages, and small steaks.
My Oliver's kitchen at the Surfers Life Saving Club around the corner near the beach has excellent food and very cheap. Nothing over $10 for lunch. La Porchetta in Orchid Ave has excellent Pizza and good value.
Would not return and would not recommended this accomodation to anyone.
