“Relax and enjoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2011

We had moved to Brisbane recently from interstate and went for a quick holiday/recharge.
We found the staff very friendly and helpfull, they loved the kids and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
The room was clean and well appointed with fantastic views of the beach etc, we could even watch whales jumping out to sea from the comfort of our balcony!
The location is great, right next to the beach and close to everything you need wine/dine etc.
I would recomend this place, and we plan to head back there again soon for our wedding anniversary.

“good location, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2011

i have staid here numeruos times over the past few years and have been in various rooms. They have all been clean, comfy and in good repair. The decore is different in each room, some more up to date than others BUT always clean and in good repair.
They are just a couple of blocks from the heart of Surfers Paradise and only one building from the newly renovated beach front. I have travelled overseas extensively and the quality just as good as anywhere I have stayed with the same star rating. The staff are always curteous and very helpful. I would have no problem recommending this to anyone.

“Loved the place-booked again for next year!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

We had the best stay on the Gold Coast at Surf Regency. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left everything was wonderful. The location is fantastic right near Cavill Mall and close to all restaurants and amenities. The unit we stayed in was spotless and everything in it worked perfectly with a great little kitchen for the one or two meals we cooked for ourselves.
The beds were comfy and our kids loved the pool and spa which was always well maintained. We had two very enjoyable barbecues with a couple of friends and were real lucky with the weather.
The staff couldnt have been friendlier or more helpful and every recommendation they gave us turned out to be gems,
Noise was never an issue and the underground carpark always had enough parking for all cars.
All in all a memorable stay and very good value for the heart of Surfers paradise. We have booked again for next year after being forced to by our kids.

“Always seemed to feel dirty but good location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2011

Location is very good in terms of beach and Cavill Ave access. 2-3 minute walk to beach and 5 or so to Cavill Ave.

It's close to a number of the usual high rise apartments, so was noisy, and they have a dump master at front which is emptied regularly at around 6.30am.

On arrival, staff were not overly welcoming, in fact during our whole stay they were sterile and just went on with their tasks. We have stayed at other locations in the Gold Coast and globally and these staff members were barely attentive and far from hospitable.

There are almost 'dictatorial' signs like don't do this, you must do that etc all over the place - almost like a prison (not that I have been).

We are not fussy people but the apartment never felt clean. Even on day one arrival we had sand or similar grit on the floor, even the lamps on the bedside tables were filthy and dusty with water marks on the shade and rust inside the light attachment area.

The kitchen and bathrooms were relatively new, but cheaply made over with the bathroom sink taps obviously being the old ones and almost hanging out of the sink, which made them awkward to use, no lights in the Robin Hood.

There were regular large visiting ants crawling around in the bedrooms which made our kids uneasy.

The BBQ on the right hand side was a joke. We spent an hour trying to cook a few sausages, and small steaks.

My Oliver's kitchen at the Surfers Life Saving Club around the corner near the beach has excellent food and very cheap. Nothing over $10 for lunch. La Porchetta in Orchid Ave has excellent Pizza and good value.

Would not return and would not recommended this accomodation to anyone.

“Best holiday!!”

We stayed at the Surf Regency over Christmas /New year and had the best time. The Surf Regency is right in the middle of Surfers Paradise so we had the convenience of all the restaurants and fun stuff but also took advantage of relaxing by thye pool (rated awesome!! by my daughter). The staff are brilliant and organised everything for us at the best rates - we went to Seaworld and White Water world. The apartment was clean and large and we had great views. We also cooked in the kitcken a lot whiuch saved us heaps of $$. I give this a big 5 Star recommendation and will be returning soon.
