Stayed here in Jan 2012 for 7 days and it was as expected.
The room was a tad on the small side but everything we needed was available.
In terms of service, very helpful staff at the front desk when we first checked in as well as the lady in the concierge when I was booking theme park tickets.
Because of its great location, we were walking distance to numerous restaurants and always ate outside the hotel.
In terms of parking,we had a 14 seater van so they could not park this in their carpark and we were happy that it is only outside the door and keys were always available and promptly delivered.
Lastly, for the size of the hotel, I expected bigger pools but then again, the kids did not mind.
Both pools were always clean but packed.

In terms of improvement, I noticed that they were cleaning the pool on Level 2 and its surrounds about 9:30 one morning even though the pool was open from 7..and we had to move and relocate to the other pool...why couldn't they clean the area before 7 ?

All in all, you pay for what you get and considering it is great location, very good service and the rooms are clean, this results to average but enjoyable stay overall.

Stayed in Jan 2012, rained most of the time, but the location of the hotel was so convenient with bus transport up and down the gold coast so close by.

the hotel room was spacious, as are most hotel rooms in Australia, the service was great, but take into account that I'm usually a check-in/check-out kind of guest, the hotel has 2 restaurants, but it's located quite centrally in Surfers Paradise so I'm sure you'll find cheaper eateries outside the hotel. I went there for Christmas 2010. The hotel has 2 pools and the room we stayed in was comfortable. Would stay there again.

I found the service very good and friendly especially with check in and check outs the location was very very central we were in a standard room that had an amazing view and the room itself was acceptable. The hotel could probably do with a renovation but i enjoyed my stay
