“Friendly & Clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I booked this motor inn based on it being #1 in Rockhampton, we were passing through and needed a place to stay for the night.

The service is extremely friendly (family business) both on the phone and in person. Also we thought the rate was very reasonable for January. It is newly refurbished and well cleaned/maintained.

It's true, the rooms are small (I don't think you could swing a cat in the bathroom) however it was only for one night and it ticked all the boxes.

We found it was probably too far to walk into the main part of town but only a short drive which didn't bother us.

“A good place for a stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

While traveling in Queensland we heard some less than positive comments about 'Rocky' e.g. "arrive late and leave early", but in my opinion completely unfounded. The Citywalk Motor Inn is centrally located within easy walking distance of the town centre and river, and is a perfectly good place to stay. It's a fairly standard motel setup, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, it's quiet despite its central location and the rooms were clean and comfortable with free wifi and it even has a laundry - absolutely fine for 1 or 2 night stay.

“Too small and poky”

This motel was booked for me in response to the previous reviews on tripadvisor. location is average, property looks like a factory from outside with concrete forecourt parking area. Rooms too small for comfort. Good points - Clean room and bed comfortable. Frequent business traveller, will look elsewhere next time.

Room Tip: Rooms are small and dark

“Thanks for a great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

The Citywalk Motor Inn has been one of the nicest and most pleasant stays during our road trip of two months. The location is good - central, yet quiet -, rooms are modern, adequately equipped and in a perfect state, cleaning was good and most of all the hosts are just great. We had a nice chat and both helped us with every issue the best they could. Value for money is also excellent - all in all a stay as it should be. Thank you guys for that.

“Great for a stopover or a few days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

I have stayed at a lot of motels whilst doing road trips in AU and outside of major cities the motels are usually pretty overpriced for run down places. Not City Walk though. Nice, new, clean and modern run by a lovely couple who make you feel welcome. Free wi fi is also a plus. If I was in Rockhampton again this is the only place I would stay. Thumbs up.
