We chose this motel because it was the first on the way in and we were going to be late. It was a short drive to take away shops for dinner. The room was very tiny and I would say over priced compared to others in town.

We stayed for one night whilst on a roadtrip.

The room was a standard motel room. Small flat screen tv, DVD player, bar fridge, tea & coffee making facilities. Compact clean bathroom. Swimming pool.

Bed was very cimfortable. Air conditioning was welcomed and reception provides fresh milk. Can also buy a beer at reception. Restaurant on site (we ate at Great Western Hotel - great steaks).

Perfectly acceptable as an over-night stop. Did like that our car space was undercover - real bonus during a heavy shower of rain.

Travelling through and stopped enroute without much notice but glad we did! Conveniently located on the southern edge of town but still only a few minutes drive to shops and attractions. Outstanding service, excellent facilities and lovely clean and comfortable rooms at very reasonable rates. The hospitality of managers Tony and Iris was above and beyond. A lovely restaurant for meals and great service. Highly recommended for both the overnight stopover or extended stay.

I don't know how these hotels can get away with the prices they charge sometimes. We paid $150 or just under to stay there one night in a room with a queen bed and two singles.

As soon as I walked in, I lifted back the doona cover to find a cockroach crawling around. The doona looked and smelt stale as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was a shower, but honestly this is a 3 star hotel at best. Instead of building onto this motel, the owners need to refurbish their units. It is dated, old and musty.

I slept a total of 2.5 hours and couldn't wait to get out of there. My wife slept a little bit more, but felt the same way. We ended up packing our bags and leaving half way through the night.

As with all my reviews I like to present a balanced perspective, so while we would not recommend this hotel until after it has been renovated I will state the following positives.
Quiet, nice pool, very friendly owners, nice outside appearance.

In short, the very nice owners need to spend some money and either have the rooms updated to the 21st century. I have stayed in a lot of hotels for cheaper prices than this, and got much, much better rooms. This is a roadside 3-star hotel at best. Whoever reviewed it as better, must have stayed in a very different room to ours.
