I stayed here with my family in Dec -Jan....for 8 nights.. We had an awesome stay. The apartment was amazing and spotless.the pool was magnificent especially with teenage children. The management was always helpful and attentive . We have recommended this resort to all our friends. As for the person commenting below....you should have thought for alittle longer before posting this comment...as people like you should have been asked to leave long before your toilet brush and rusty bin where replaced ...

I thought a long time before writing this review, I am writing becausei would love for management to change their game. Came here December 2011, room smelled very bad, floor dirty, had no toilet brush in toilet (and the one they replaced it with was very very used) toilet bin all rusty and air con was very weak making the stay uncomfortable. Also there are no umbrellas to sir next to pool, only in grass area, coffee plunger without coffee to plunge. On the plus side, whoever opened the place invested in a fantastic pool, quality appliances and this could have been a 7 star resort with some common sense. The view was amazing and shuttle bus to town is nearby. Service is mixed, one lady was very attentive, but the one greeting us was very tired and overworked, also said town was 15 min walk , which is about an hour brisk walk . Hope they change management. I then stayed at another resort that had lesser facilities but was managed very well and the difference was really significant

Hubbie and I had never been to Port Douglas before, so after reading reviews on this place on TA, I decided to give it a go. I'm really glad we did. The room was immaculately clean and I loved the minimalist look. It had everything you needed. Fully equipped kitchen (which we didn't use - who wants to cook on holidays?), combined washer/dryer which I used a few times and air conditioners in both the living room and bedrooms. Not to mention plenty of secure undercover parking and internet access in the room.

I cannot thank Alicia or say enough nice things about her. As soon as we arrived, she was so friendly and welcoming. Every time I asked her for advice about dinner or day trips, her advice was spot on. She even offered me some of her own stock of milk when I asked her where the closest place to buy it was! She recommended a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef on Poseidon Cruises, and I'm glad we listened, because we had a great day out with a locally owned family company, one which we will never forget.

But really, this place is all about the pool and it's surrounds. The gardens are immaculate and the pool.....WOW, huge, clean, private, luxurious...in a word FANTASTIC. We made use of it every day. Even if there are 40 people in it, you can still find a private place for yourself. We were lucky, as we came in low season and there were never more than about 8 people in it at any one time.

Yes, Pool is a bit of a trip out of Port Douglas, but if you have a car, it's only a very short drive and I like the fact that it is quiet and private.

The only glitch we had in staying here, was that our air conditioners stopped working (it was very hot). It would only run for 45 minutes and then shut down for 20 minutes before you could turn it back on. When we mentioned this to reception, they sent a technician to look at it, but he couldn't fix it, so they moved us to another room. You can't ask for better service than that.

I would recommend this place to anyone, both couples and families, as you couldn't ask for friendlier service, cleaner rooms or a better POOL! I hope to return one day, as the laid back lifestyle is amazing. Thanks Pool for making our holiday perfect.

This place was amazing as we had a swim up room . With 2 kids perfect option as all they wanted to do was swim! Pool is amazing and the room perfect for what we needed. A bit short on the cooking equipment, has a oven but no oven trays? And not many pots & pans, but we loved it all the same. We had a car which you need as quite away out of town
