“Excellent family holiday, well maintained property.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2012 NEW

We booked our stay based on great reviews read here and friends experiences. We have stated in Port Douglas before so knew the location was great; just 2 block walk into the main St. Perfect with a toddler. The weather was good for our stay but we did have a few rainy days but the pool is what sets this place apart. Ideal for small children to play on the sand and paddle.

Big wraps to management to impeccable pool and grounds maintenance. The sand was being bulldozed after a heavy downpour as soon as the rain eased.

We booked our room through a real estate property group not peppers and stayed in a 2nd floor pool view room. The facilities were clean, well maintained and there were no issues. The room is described as a 1 bedroom apartment and has a 'multi purpose' room. Essentially this was a 2nd bedroom with 2 chaises that could be pushed together. The only difference from the main bedroom is there is no A/C but there is a ceiling fan which was sufficient during our stay. The rooms aren't huge but this was not an issue.

Full cooking facilities, huge fridge, BBQ on balcony. All linen and beach towels provided. Just not serviced daily which we knew & no mini bar as this apartment is not part of the peppers management.

I can't comment on the restaurant or other services through the hotel as we didn't use them but could of. We chose to have breakfast in and ate out most dinners. So perfect for a budget conscious family holiday where you still want quality accom & great facilities.

The hotel is excellent rooms are fine only problem no lift to 3rd floor and no one handy to take heavy suitcases to our room on arrival. Swimming pool one of the best we have seen, great tropical setting, easy walking to town and beach, good choice at breakfast, staff very friendly, stayed 4 nights could have stayed longer.

“Excellent value for money, simply beautiful resort.”

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Wow! This place has everything you could possibly want and more! It suited us for a romantic getaway but also families with young children would be equally impressed with the facilities. Just a stones throw away from the main street and the beach. Food amazing. I would recommend the Thai chicken salad served poolside, beautiful I wanted to ask the chef what his secret was! All of the staff were extremely cheerful and happy to help with anything, especially Roger who we met on arrival who was happy to give directions and offered to assist with our luggage straight away. Wonderful job Peppers!

Room Tip: We had a spa suite which had everything we needed and overlooked the beautiful pool.

“Great location, fabulous sandy lagoon pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2012

Spent 6 wonderful nights in a deluxe ground floor spa room at Pepper's Beach Club and Spa, Port Douglas.
Fabulous comfortable bed, good range of television/movie options, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe, ample wardrobe space, two person spa on the balcony!
The sandy bottomed lagoon pool is beautiful, and the landscaped grounds perfectly tropical.
Visiting in mid-May we were outside the school holiday period; the guest make-up was either older couples, or families with babies and toddlers. The sandy beach poolside can look like a crèche mid-morning, which is great for young families, there is a lovely raised platform nearby that serves as an 'adult only' area. Pepper's Beachclub and Spa offers something for everyone!
We were glad that we chose Pepper's over the Sheraton as Pepper's is much closer to all the restaurants and activities available on thriving Macrossan Street.

Room Tip: FIrst choice- would be a lagoon pool direct access room Second choice- a deluxe ground floor pool-s...

“The pool really does sell the hotel!”

The facilities at this hotel are excellent. We simply wanted to soak in the sun at this hotel, and soak in the sun we did! The pool is excellent (which is useful, cause the beach in Port Douglas really isn't good for sun bathing!) and the sand along the outside is a fantastically good idea.

Our room was of a decent size and the jacuzzi in the terrace was a lovely extra!
