“lovely getaway”

I had a 10 day stay at tropical nites and I just felt at home. The town houses are up todate and very clean. The pool area is small but very nice and relaxing. The property is not to far from the main town strip. I rented a bicycle and it was all I needed to get around. Damian & Tania where absolutley lovely people and so helpful on all my tours and any thing I needed help with. A really great australian experiense for me.

“Relaxing Family Holiday”

We stayed in Port Douglas for a one week family getaway at the end of a busy 2011. Our accommodation at Tropical Nites was a beautiful, comfortable and very clean two storey townhouse with air conditioning and austar television. We used the pool almost every day of our stay and enjoyed relaxing by the water under the shade of the palm trees. We enjoyed a BBQ dinner one night, using the clean and easy to use BBQ facilities and the outdoor tables and chairs. Tania and Damian (the onsite managers) were very friendly and helpful. They provided lots of useful information about the tours and things to do in Port Douglas, as well as booking the tours for us! I highly recommend Tropical Nites to families, couples and friends as a place to enjoy your holiday in Port Douglas. Many thanks to Tania and Damian, we will be returning for another great holiday! - Diana, Bridget and Amelia

“Clean comfortable family accommodation”

We have just stayed for two weeks in a 3 bedroom airconditioned, austar television, family friendly comfortable townhouse and onsite management (Damian & Tania) were fantastic with a friendly, approachable and helpful style. We booked our tours through Tania and we had the best great barrier reef tour with Wavelength tours ( awesome only 10 people on the boat with our tour group) - Highly recommend if you want to snorkel within reef and learn from 2 marine biologists on board the boat
The onsite Pool was a welcome relief from humidity & family size fridge, kitchen and lounge areas were a comfortable fit with us.
Limited number of apartments onsite (12), allowed us to have a quiet holiday stay.
Highly recommend to families as a place to stay in Port Douglas - Thanks to Damian & Tania

“Home away from Home!”

We stayed at A Tropical Night the first night we arrived in Australia. It just so happened that we arrived on Christmas Day and therefore had concerns that no one would be around to let us into the unit. I called Damian, and he explained that while they would be busy Christmas day, they’d tape the keys to the door of the reception area. When we arrived the keys were just where he said they would be. My wife and I brought our three adult children and son-in-law with us on the trip, and Damian and Tania were kind enough to upgrade us into one of their three bedroom units. The units were all air conditioned and included cooking facilities, a large refrigerator, and a washer and dryer which came in especially handy with the subtropical humidity we experienced while we were there. While the units are about a mile from town, it’s an easy 10-15 minute walk and a 1-2 minute drive. It’s a great jumping off point to the Great Barrier Reef if you want a diving or snorkeling experience. Damian also had great tips on where to eat and get cheap drinks (with great sunset views). He also directed us North to Mossman George and on to Cape Tribulation where the paved road ends. There were unbelievable trails through the rain forest consisting of raised decking. A Tropical Night was a very nice place for an economical price, especially if you are traveling with a group of people.
