We stayed in a one bedroom apartment mid September. As many have said previously the unit is very spacious and excellently positioned. Our priority was to have quick easy access to the beach and still be able to walk to restaruants and pubs in. Beach Terraces fitted the bill perfectly. The apartment had everything we needed in terms of equipment and everything was near new. Large tv, full kitchen, washing machine, dryer and deck were very useful. The unit was very clean. The pools aren't huge like you would get in a large resort but are still plenty big enough for swimming in, which I did often, and the surrounding outdoor areas are well fitted out. Our time was very relaxing and the host George was friendly and informative. As we had a late flight out of Cairns we wanted to spend some more time on the beach the day we were leaving and George very kindly allowed us to use the shower in the afternoon so we could wash down before leaving for the airport. Thanks very much for that. I would highly recommend this place for families and couples as it is very good value for money. Port Douglas, Mossman the Danintree and Cape Trib are beautiful to visit.

Beach Terraces is great holiday accommodation. So close to the main street (Macrossan), to the beach - in fact walking distance to most places. The apartments are very spacious, clean, tidy and reasonably modern. The two pools are fabulous. George and Treveen are great hosts and can keep you abreast of what is going on. In May 2012 it is Carnivale time, which is a fantastic opportunity to see Port Douglas come alive.

As others have commented, these serviced apartments are in a very good location. They have been cleverly designed such that all balconies overlook the street and not over the neighbouring apartment building. The apartment was a bit dated with the usual bamboo furniture and blunt cutting knives, but otherwise had everything you could possibly need and was very clean. The pool is not heated but the beach is what matters at this location and the beach is very close.

Beach Terraces is in a terrific location. A short walk into town for a meal, no need for any transport. A stones throw from the best part of the beach - walk there in bare feet it's such a short distance. Just grab a towel and go.
Rooms were spacious and very well appointed. An excellent assortment of crockery, cutlery and cookware. Washing machine, dryer and huge fridge. Our own balcony with outdoor setting.
Nice outdoor pool with plenty of sun lounges. The proprietors were very helpful with trip recommendations and organisation.
We had a fantastic time and will certainly be returning :-)
