Just back in Port Douglas at Christmas/New Year and once again chose to stay at Central Plaza (this was our stay at Central Plaza).

This time round I couldn't fault Central Plaza at all - my last review mentioned that the plates/cutlery could have had a bit more attention. Very pleased to report that the presentation of our unit last month was absolutely perfect and spotless.

I love having a laundry in our own unit; so much less hassle than sharing facilities and means I don't have to take as many changes of clothes on holidays :)

Fiona and Iain were just as friendly and accommodating as ever and I can honestly say that staying at these apartments is like a home away from home. The pool area is a perfect size with plenty of room for everyone, BBQ area is a great option for outdoor dining while "staying in" and I honestly believe that the size of the apartments and quality of the accommodation cannot be beaten for value. (Even though I keep booking here I do still like to compare and see what's going on in the area anyway).

Have just booked in again for two weeks this coming Christmas and can't wait.

Central Plaza is absolutely perfect for families and anyone looking for quality self contained accommodation. The great service is a bonus.

Wonderful clean well kept property. Iain and Fiona were wonderful managers and did everything possible to make our stay a good one. The pool is just the best. We had an apartment at the back and this was very quiet. All rooms have fans and the beds are super comfortable. Within walking distance to everything.

We stayed with another family over the New Year break. We were amazed at the large spacious 3 bedroom apartments. The presentation was spotless. I was extremely impressed with the managers Fiona and Ian, extremely helpful with a smile in their voice :) The pool/bbq areas are a great size where the kids spent hours of fun and only about a 5 min walk to Macrossan Street....perfect for the kids to take their scooters for a ride! Being local we have stayed in a number of properties at Port Douglas and this property would definately be one that we would look forward to visit again due to the family friendly atmosphere. Excellent rates and one of our most enjoyable stays in Port Douglas. Thank you Fiona and Ian :)

The beach is just a short walk away as is the town centre.

Port Douglas is our favourite place in the world - a laid back small town with excellent shops / bars and touristic adventures available

The apartment block that we stayed in overlooked the pool and had a great outlook. It was on the 2nd floor so not brilliant for he elderly, but it is high enough for you to sit on the balcony overlooking the pool without being disturbed by noise. We stayed in room 14 which is a two bedroomed immaculate apartment with two bathrooms - one en suite and a spacious living / dining room area, along with the large balcony with space for a big table and four chairs.

This was our fourth or fifth visit to Port Douglas and we have stayed at these apartments on three occasions.

The hosts, Fiona and Ian, are on hand to assist you and there is a nice reception area as well as a magnificent pool, and barbecue / seating area....

PERFECT !!!
