I thought it might be useful to provide some elaboration/clarification on a couple of points made, though, in the hope it might be useful for those reading this review:

THE DIFFERENCE IN COSIES - Our Cosies are on the ground floor. There are five of them. #1 to #4 have an outdoor patio overlooking our tropical rainforest garden. #5 has a private courtyard but no rainforest garden. Some people prefer number #5, however, because the interior is larger (that does not make it a huge apartment by the way. They are as they are called; Cosy but comfortable) and has a fridge with freezer whereas the other ones do not. You can see the differences clearly on our web site (simply click on the “more info” button on the Beachside Cosy listing on our accommodation page. #5 is called the Cosy Courtyard)

TOUR ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE – Providing assistance with tours is a job we take very seriously here at By the Sea Port Douglas. We spend as much time with each guest explaining the options, helping identify the tours that best suit their needs and we book the tours and do all the paperwork, making it hassle free for our guests. We also put all costs on their room account, so they only have to get the credit card out once (when they leave). Booking tours through our resort does not cost any more, but it should be noted that it does not cost less unless the tour operator has a low season special offer going on, in which case we would of course book on that basis.

We are only 100 meters away from Four Mile Beach so much less than 5 minutes away! And whilst booking.com is a good online booking site, you will always find that you get a better deal (ie cheaper price) if you book directly through us rather than a third party web site.
