We had a great time staying at Mantra PortSea. Right near the ocean, a short walk to the main street. Pool Bar with food also available there, tennis court, internet cafe, great pools. A great place to stay. The only downside was the rooms, while they were clean, I think they were in need of a renovation. And the fact that the girl on the pool bar burnt our wedges we ordered three times - she was the only one on the pool bar to serve a whole heap of us.

Recently visited Port Douglas and only left a few days ago. Had a great time and more importantly the facilities provided at the Mantra Portsea were great for us adults and kids alike. My 3 kids and made the most of the pools which had something for all ages. They also loved the viewing options they had on the room TV, this made my wife and my stay that much better. From an adults prospective, we were happy with the room setup and would definately recommend the lagoon/pool side connecting rooms gave us a bit of peace and quite when needed. I would also like to thank the friendly staff for assisting and making our stay that much better. Whilst Port Douglas lacked a bit spark for me, the staff and the Mantra Portsea made our stay that much more enjoyable.

We moved to the Mantra from Bay Villas which were disappointing. We had a corner swim up room, well it was like a house, it included kitchen, full laundry facilities, lounge with wall tv and comprehensive channels, outside jacquzzi bath and table and chairs and town is literally around the corner. Hotel was spotlessly clean, pool was lovely although the side we were on had on shade in the afternoon, as Brits away in January sun would have been good! Can't fault it .

Having never been to North Queensland we were dubious about where to stay. We booked a hotel room for a week and loved all it provided. If we didn't want to eat out there were BBQ facilities provided. Although we ate out every night making the most of the wonderful food on offer up there!
Loved the pools and the service. The room was comfortable in the hot weather and great to have our own private balcony. The lap pool was just outside our room so that felt sort of private and our own. It wasn't packed and there were no annoying kids. We had that pool to ourselves. Breakfast was also a great option and it got me started every morning. So many choices of food, I didn't know where to start.
Also perfect distance to the beach!!
10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend.
