We were a little surprised arriving at check-in time (2pm) to find that the Reception Office was closed and our key was enclosed in an envelope affixed to a table at the front, along with other guests' keys. We were expecting a warmer (including the weather!) welcome!

We stayed in a Deluxe apartment for four nights and were allocated the first floor with a balcony that overlooked the pool and a lush tropical garden.

The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is an air-conditioner in the lounge and another in the bedroom. The ceiling fans in the lounge were a bit temperamental but we eventually managed to get them working adequately.

Situated off the main road yet still close enough to the centre (approx 10 min drive) enabled a good night's rest even though the mattress was a bit on the hard side. Easy access and within walking distance to Four Mile Beach is a bonus.

A very relaxing place to stay.

It is funny how every place is now calling itself a "resort". This is not a resort, this is a self-contained apartments. You clean and you replace everything inside like toilet paper, tissues and so on.. So that is out of the way now.
Overall it is a very clean place, well taken care of. The apartments (we stayed on a bottom one) had large living area, nice size bedroom, air-conditioning and a pleasant overall feel to them although some personal touches would be nice - they did look a bit bare...
You really need a car to get to Port Douglas, we had one so I cannot comment on the bus services. It is within a walking distance to the beach but on a hot day - it is a 15 minute walk that feels a lot longer.
The pool was very nice (location and size) but was heavily chlorinated and we really had to use goggles otherwise your eyes would suffer. This usually is a lazy way of taking care of a pool but it was nice to take a dip during hot days. The bbq area near swimming pool is good and clean. Not sure whether I would stay again, overall it was a good experience but I think I would look for something that makes me feel a little bit more special on my holidays. Reasonable value.

Stayed for 8 nights in August 2011 and enjoyed our stay. The apartments are very comfortable with well equipped kitchens, good lounge area and shaded balconies.

The children enjoyed using the pool and they were often the only noise you could hear as the area is very quiet. A short drive into the centre of Port Douglas or there is a local bus.

Nice people running the place. Fully furnished right down to the forks and spoons. Comfortable beds and living spaces. Intranet was pretty cheap and lots of space to stretch out. Good access to beach and quite at night. Best way to stay in Australia, avoid the apartments.
