We stayed here for a week during our honeymoon in Australia. Our room was very nice, plenty of room and a big bathroom. The hotel is away from the main street in Port Douglas so it was fairly quiet. There was a shuttle bus which would take you to the main street and back for a few dollars. The pool was disappointing in that it remained covered in shade nearly all day. Luckily the beautiful beach is a short walk away so we spent our days there instead. The hotel restaurant serves very nice food but limited in its choice. It was obviously popular though as it was difficult to get a table without booking. Look out for Bozo the Cockatoo in the lobby. He does like a scratch behind the ear occassionaly but I also saw him try to eat a few people's fingers when they disturbed him when he was sleeping! Also I was gutted that although we were on honeymoon we didnt have anything extra in our room :(

The hotel's outside decor and greenery was beautiful. The rooms were OK, but we were only there one night, so we mostly just slept there and then we were off exploring again.
You could walk to the beach from the hotel, it was fun. There is a park on the way with exotic wild birds flying high in the trees and a couple of vines for the kids (and me) to swing on.
We stopped at 'Mossman Kebabs" for a quick breakfast before the drive up to Daintree. The owner was very nice and the breakfast was delicous.

Very good hotel to stay at and will recommend it to anyone willing to travel to Port Douglas for a relaxing break.
Most of the staff were friendly and are customer service pros.
In particular, the restaurant staff is excellent and would recommend the friendly staff.

The place was an excellent base of operations to discover the area and the staff at the reception even arranged bookings for tours with no fuss at all and excelled at being pleasant through and through.
The cleaning staff too were practically invisible, yet they managed to clean our room everyday!!

But overall, a great experience with excellent staff that truly enjoy assisting clients. Truely enjoyable stay.

This hotel was perfect, we arrived on our honeymoon after spending time in Sydney and Uluru.
We checked in and were upgraded to a suite, the first night we went to dinner we were shown to the end table by the pool, perfect for couples.
The staff were very attentive.
Port Douglas is such a lovely place.
We tried to book a rainforest with a company but the concierge wouldn't book it, instead she phoned Gary's safari -this was the highlight of the trip, it was simply amazing!!
