We choise Citysider based on information we found on tripadvisor, and we are very satisfied. Especially all the positive words about Therese and Walter turned out to be correct. They were very friendly and helpful, and they assisted us in booking tours and car rental.

The apartment was perfect for us - two adults and two young teenagers. We appreciated the possibility to make our own meals. The kitchen could have been better equipped, but it was OK. It would be good to have a bike available, since we had to walk 15 min to come to the shopping center and 20 min to the esplanade.

We had a wonderful time in Cairns.

The activities that we wanted to do while on holiday were organised by our hosts & done superbly, all we had to do was be outside our room, rrady to go.

We booked 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment, but ended up leaving after 1 night. A combination of circumstances affected our stay and contributed to our decision to leave after just one night including cockroaches in the bathroom and the living room, some of the electrics not working meaning we couldn't use any kitchen facilities, watch TV or use the laundry facilities (though the owners did let us use laundry facilities in another apartment), cobwebs on some of the walls, very dirty carpets in the bedrooms and rubbish under one of the beds. For the price paid, we were entitled to expect far far better room conditions than those we endured. To their credit, the owners, who were a very helpful European couple (Swiss and German), apologised for our experience and immediately offered us a refund for the remaining 2 nights. I hope that our experience was a one-off and judging by other reviews (which we had used in making our booking), other guests do not appear to have had these issues so hopefully the owners have dealt with the problems that impacted on our stay there.

Good value for money; a friendly and obliging owner couple; good spacious comfortable apartment. Very clean, a good washing machine and dryer a bonus. Good parking, ten minute walk to Cairns Central. I could not fault anything, best value in town. Thank you to Therese and Walter for their caring approach and their management style which is reflected in your well maintained property and happy customers.
