Staff very friendly and helpful. Service everyday if you want it. Great location, directly opposite the main door of Myers. 4 blocks to the Esplanade. 2 bedroom apartment was well priced, had everything we required. Quiet location, free secure parking, central to restaurants, bottleshops etc. Often when you stay somewhere, the rules are just so full on, like the fun police are just waiting to drop in. However, it was very convivial here with minimal rules.
Apartments are a little on the small side, however we were only there for a few days and the great location made up for it.

Found Mid City when we realized the hostels in Cairns weren't what we needed. Our little apartment was secure, quiet, even luxurious. But the staff is what really made Mid City worth the few extra dollars and we ended up staying nearly three weeks. Little things added up - beach towels when we hadn't even asked for them, directions and suggestions, friendliness no matter what time of day, things like that. What a nice change from some of the indifferent or even rude attitudes we've experienced in Queensland!!! So stay here, don't bother with hostels, they're not much cheaper anyway and you'll have laundry, nice pool, good sleep and great hosts on top of it.

We spent 6 nights in these comfortable apartments. Our 1 bedroom apartment also had a full-size sofa bed in the lounge and was well equiped, including laundry and hairdryer. Location was great, central, but quiet, opposite the main shopping mall and a few minutes walk from the Lagoon.
