I was originally booked in for 2 weeks with my daughter, and although it looked wonderful on the website, the reality was anything but! The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful at checkin, but it rapidly went downhill from there. Cabin was badly run down and although the sheets were clean, the covers were badly stained and covered in cigarettes burns. The curtains were filthy and rained bugs down on the bed, so we had to pull our bed away from the walls to avoid them. Bathroom was in a bad way. Cleaned, but veneer peeling awayand chipped, (I've seen better at the Tip!) and constantly dripping faucets. The cook-top microwave was filthy and we didn't want to use it. Fridge malfunctioned and froze everything solid. Park itself was filthy and rundown with bottles littering the grounds, no cafe (despite being advertised) and needles to say- no Internet Cafe either. We found different accomodation the next day, and moved out as quickly as possible. We did get a refund with no hassels- the impression was that it happened so frequently, that it wasn't a surprise.
Shame really- a bit of hard work, and it could be a great place, just not one I'd EVER go back to!

I found Cairns Villa in a book of caravan parks and a tourism book of Queensland. I booked 2 nights stay from the suburbs of Sydney. I arrived exhausted after a 47 hour journey. The office was closed. I did find a staff member who was kind and helped me pitch my tent. Then the horrors began. I was told not to leave anything in my tent that I could not risk being stolen. The rubbish bins were overflowing. They advertised a television room, games room, shop and internet cafe. There was none. There was not even a vending machine to get a sweet drink. I went for a swim and saw a police car cruising around. I was told that was a frequent occurrence. I was advised not to walk around the park at night.
I heard a lot of foul language. On the way to the office, a woman who claimed to be homeless asked me for money. I felt scared being there. I was very thankful to leave after 2 nights. I would not advise anyone going there.

My family stayed at a camping spot near the pool and playground. The camping area was nice and shady and the amenities were clean and they even had a baby bath which was perfect for my 6 month old. I would recommend this park as the staff were just great and nothing was to much trouble. The girl on reception was very helpful with our tour bookings.

This was the worst campsite we have seen. We arrived there and had to wait for half an hour as there was a sign on reception saying "back in 30 mins" Great! We were then greeted by the most rudest, fat, grumpy woman at reception. We then went to our camp spot, driving though permanent resident sites which made it look like a pikey/gypsey yard! We had a look round at the facilities which were filthy and vile!! There was leaves and mud and grime all over the floors of the bathrooms and showers!! The pool did NOT look tempting one bit! And there were a lot of yobos hanging about the sites (don't know if they were residents or just from around the streets).
We decided we didt want to stay there not even for one ight, and asked for a refund (which they gave us). We complained about the state of the toilet block and they lady gave us a poor excuse of 'they havn't been cleaned yet'. Well then why has every other review on here said the same?

DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
